Optec Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified industry trainer to prepare and conduct industry standard training in Electricity Supply Industry. In this position you will develop resources and assessment tools to support training delivery.
ABOUT YOU
Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
Appropriate industry qualification. - Certificate III Lineworker.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 or
equivalent units.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
You will conduct HV training and / or provide HV consultancy services as and when required. These services may include the following:
Conducting HV training & procedure audits.
Conducting electrical installation audits.
Development of Electrical Safety Procedures.
Development of Works Instructions.
Development of Switchgear Operating Manuals.
Delivery of practical and theoretical competency based training.
Design and development of competency based training modules.
Ensuring that all training is performed in accordance with the relevant Occupation Health and Safety Acts and Statutory Codes of Practice.
Routine Liaison with Clients in order to establish levels of Customer satisfaction.
The promotion and marketing of all services provided by OPTEC Pty Ltd.
The provision of services to Optec Clients as required.
HV Switching Services for HV Customers.
Other Duties as required.
Qualifications
Certificate III Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) - Distribution Powerline qualification or
Australian Linesman Trade qualification equivalent. Current Drivers Licence.
High Risk Licences: EWP/WP, Dogman, Rigging.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Low Voltage & High Voltage Switching qualifications and experience.
Experience working on electricity supply networks.
Must have a minimum of five years of work experience as a Line Worker.
In addition, one of the following must be met:
At least three years of work experience must have occurred within the last five years
Previous training experience preferred but not essential.
Must be able to communicate effectively through both oral and written means.
