Thank you to our families for your ongoing support in ensuring students arrive at school every day, ready to learn. While our overall attendance rate remains steady at 90%, we know that by working together we can continue striving towards our goal of 95% attendance and beyond.

TERM 2 WEEK 7 ATTENDANCE 🍎
Why is attendance important? Last week was a fantastic week of learning and acknowledgement for our students and community at MPS, including Reconciliation Week and the excitement of the Spelling Bee!
This week looks just as exciting as our Star Struck students prepare to take the stage for performance week. How exciting! 💃🕺🎭

Well done to Kindergarten for being the grade with the highest attendance this week, achieving 93%, and a big shoutout to KK for being the class with the highest attendance. Fabulous job!

Enjoy the week ahead!

Sporting Superstar Spotlight 🏃‍♀️⚽️

Congratulations to Abigail who recently represented MPS in the Regional Cross Country carnival. Not only can she run, but she knows her way around a soccer field too! Abigail was selected in the Westlakes Zone Soccer team which enabled her to trial for the Hunter Region team. She narrowly missed out on this selection, but was strongly encouraged to come back in Year 6 as she certainly impressed the scouts. Well done Abigail, we are very proud of you! 🖤❤️

TERM 2 WEEK 6 ATTENDANCE 🍎

We want to do everything we can to ensure your child achieves their potential and enjoys being at school. One way to help make this happen is by ensuring your child attends school each day, unless they are unwell or absent for a justified reason.

💚 Whole school attendance: 90%
⭐ Year 3 takes out the top spot for grade attendance with an awesome 93%
🎉 3/4S smashed it again this week with an incredible 94% – amazing effort!

Every day counts for learning, connection, and engagement. Keep up the amazing effort, MPS community! 💪✨

Reconciliation isn’t something we teach our students and watch from the sidelines. It asks something of all of us. As adults, it asks us to listen, learn, reflect and grow. A powerful reminder that when we come together in genuine partnership, we create a stronger future for every child.

We were incredibly honoured to share breakfast and yarn with members of the Itji-Marru AECG as part of our 2nd Annual Reconciliation Breakfast. Thank you for walking alongside us as we continue this important journey together for our kids. ❤️🖤💛
