Well done to our Pimpala Knockout Football team who played in round 1 of the Girl's Knockout Football today. The girls won their first game against St John the Apostle School with a score of 64 to 11.

The girls then played their second game against Westbourne Park Primary School. This match was a lot tougher and despite a good battle the girls lost by 3 goals.

Congratulations on a great day and a huge thank you to volunteer parent coach Jimmy for coaching the girls leading up to the carnival and throughout the day.

Recently, our Junior Primary class had a wonderful and educational visit from the team at 1300KOALAZ. The students were buzzing with excitement as our guests arrived, bringing with them not only a wealth of knowledge but also a genuine passion for koalas and their conservation.
During the session, students enjoyed an engaging talk all about koalas—where they live, what they eat, and the challenges they face in the wild. The presenters shared fascinating stories about rescued koalas and explained the important work 1300KOALAZ does to protect these special animals.
One of the key messages was how we can all help keep koalas safe. The class learned about things we can do in our neighbourhoods, like keeping an eye out for koalas crossing roads and making sure our gardens are koala-friendly by planting native trees.
The children loved listening to the stories and were eager to ask questions and share their own knowledge. It was a truly inspiring experience, and we are grateful to 1300KOALAZ for visiting us.
Thank you, 1300KOALAZ, for a memorable and meaningful visit!

On Friday, 15 May, Pimpala Primary School hosted Onkaparinga Norths Cross Country Event!

Our day very quickly went from warm and dry to very wet with students racing in true Cross Country style.

Our team of 44 students raced well and paced themselves for either a 1.5km, 2km or 3km event. The following students should be extra proud of their outstanding placement:

Elena 5th place
Scarlett 3rd place
Charlie B 4th place
Kimberley Z 3rd place

We wish Kimberley and Charlie the best of luck as they compete again in the Onka North SAPSASA team at Oakbank in week 6.

A huge thank you to staff and parent volunteers for helping Emily Mooney-Doe with trainings each week leading up to the day – Mr Scott, Bailey, Mrs MacLean, Debbie, Faye, Tina, Jake, Micki and Darren. We would not have been ready for the day without your help!
