Painting in a Montessori Environment focuses on the process over the product, encouraging independent exploration, creativity, and sensory development rather than creating a perfect masterpiece. It is child-led, with prepared, accessible materials, offered throughout the day.

In our centre we celebrate diverse traditions, festivals and food promoting an understanding of various cultures.
This week we have celebrated St Georgeโs Day, baking jam and cream scones, exploring our St Georgeโs day sensory bin and cutting England flag cutting strips.
We also focused on the Anzac Day theme of making poppies, painting poppies, making Anzac cake and making poppies with play-dough.
All activities are child led in a Montessori environment and experiential, allowing the children to learn about, appreciate and respect the diverse people in their community.

๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ'๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ต: football has never been just for those who train twice a week and play on weekends.
It's for the mum on the sideline who secretly thinks "I'd love to have a go." It's for the teenager who's never kicked a ball but has been curious for years. It's for the woman who loved playing years ago and justโฆ stopped.
Wednesday 13th May is your invitation back.
As part of Female Football Week every female player across our MiniRoos, Juniors, and Women's teams will be out there showcasing exactly what this club is built on: talent, passion, and community.
Mini games. Skill challenges. Plenty of laughs.
And for those who've always wondered what it feels like to actually be on the pitch?

No stamina required. No commitment pressure. Just lace up your boots or sneakers and come experience the cheering from the sideline and from the inside.
The BBQ will be cranking. The bar will be open. There's a cake stall. And there will be more than enough reasons to stay a while.
This night is for our players. It's for our families.
And it's for every female in Southern Adelaide who's ever thought "maybe one day."
That day is the 13th of May.

Montessori education empowers children through "freedom within limits," allowing them to choose their own work and activities from prepared, accessible shelves, which fosters independence, deep focus, and self-discipline. Children select tasks based on their interests and developmental stage, working at their own pace while respecting others.

As we have moved into Autumn, our Autumn sensory bin has been helping our children focus, explore textures, shapes, and colours along with enhancing their sensorial development, cognitive growth, and fine motor skills. They have been scooping, pouring, and sorting using the materials.
