Our 3/4-year-old group have recently shown a strong interest in termites and ants, sparking many conversations and questions about these fascinating insects. To support their curiosity, we have set up a range of engaging experiences, including insect investigations, sensory play and natural materials, and creative activities inspired by termite mounds and ant nests. These experiences encourage the children to explore, discover, and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world through hands-on learning and play. πΏ

Our children have been enjoying their adventures at Bush Kinder, exploring the Briars and connecting with nature each week. They have been carefully observing the changing water levels, spotting emus along the way, and using sticks and leaves they find in the environment to create little homes for animals. These experiences encourage curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. π¦ππΏ
