MPS LOST AND FOUND // If anyone has lost their Save Our Sleep Sheep.... it is at our school office keeping nice and warm and dry....

MPS STAR CLASS // Part of our exploration of emotions has been how we can impact others. We have been discussing how we can 'fill' or 'dip' from other people's buckets. ​
The class identified Julio our crossing guard as someone who fills our bucket so we decided to fill his. ​
We made a book as a class and delivered it to a very happy and excited Julio!

MPS Out Of School Hours Care // It might have been cold and dreary outside this morning but there was lots happening in before school care. We had houses being built, furnished with books and soft toys. Some of our Grade 1 students making their own 'laptops' with a keyboard beside them to help get the letters right. Our 3D bugs are looking great and slowly filling up the tree in the hall....
We have introduced our fruit bowl in the morning and may have had a choc chip scone or 2 for breakfast this morning.....

WORLD'S GREATEST SHAVE AT MPS // Our school is very proud and excited to be involved this year in raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation. MPS MOTHERS DAY MORNING // What a fantastic morning we had at school today. Lots of mums, grandparents, carers and siblings enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere in their childs classroom, from hand massages, necklace making, portraits drawn, games being played and I think I may have even seen a photo booth. A great big thank you to everyone that came and wishing everyone a very Happy Mothers Day on Sunday.... We hope you enjoy the little suprises you may receive that are handmade with love. 😍😍🎉💐

MPS OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE // Meet 'Boss' our newest Therapy Dog who came to visit us last week. Our students had so much fun 'hanging out' with Boss. We have been lucky enough to experience the training of therapy dogs this year at our after school care program. Children that have had fears or a bit nervous of dogs have built so much confidence and are now giving the dogs treats and reading to them.

MOD 4 CAMP DAY 2 // Well I believe there may not have been alot of sleep had on night one, but everyone was fuelled up at breakfast time and ready for another fun filled day, and wow what a day they had... weather was perfect, more lolly making, candle making, using tools from the 'olden days'. Lunch in the park from the bakery and some panning for gold... Wonder what's for dinner tonight?????

MOD 4 CAMP // Rumour has it dinner was a huge success, Pasta bolognese followed by brownie with 'real' cream.... Its been a busy day experiencing 'life in the olden days'... Classroom experiences, candy making and tonight the amazing 3D light show are just some of the activities... with full tummies, lots of excitement and fresh air all day lets send positive vibes to the teachers for a good first nights sleep..🙏🙏🙌🙌🤛🤜

MOD 4 CAMP: What a perfect day to head off to camp. There were alot of very excited students this morning all getting ready to jump on the bus... They have arrived safely and are enjoying their first activities....

MPS ANZAC ASSEMBLY TERM 2 // What a glorious start to Term 2 at Mornington Primary School! The weather has been absolutely stunning.
On Tuesday morning, many of our students joined Running Club, led by our fantastic Sports Captains and overseen by our PE teacher, Mr F. Students enjoyed a mix of games and fun, challenging activities designed to build fitness and get their brains ready for a great day of learning.
On Wednesday morning, we held a special ANZAC Day Assembly in the hall. We were honoured to welcome guest speaker Robert Wither (Austin Veteran Liaison Officer), who shared his experiences and helped students connect with the meaning of this important day.
Congratulations to all students who attended the assembly, and a very big thank you to Mrs Ross and the MOD 3 team for organising such a meaningful event, along with the buddy grade activities.
