Padua College Established in 1898, Padua College is a co-educational Catholic secondary school serving the Mornington Peninsula.

Padua College is structured into 4 separate campuses at Mornington, Rosebud and Tyabb. Students start in their respective 7-9 Campus located nearest their home, then all students move to our Year 10-12 Campus at Mornington for their senior studies. This multi-campus structure provides our students with individual care and support, specifically within their smaller ‘House' community, where each stu

Padua College is delighted to announce the College Captains and Vice Captains for 2027.

Congratulations to Millie Smith and Rosie McInnes, Padua College Captains for the coming year and Vice Captains, Logan Shelley and Baron Way. Their appointment reflects not only their leadership potential, but their commitment to serving others and living the values of our College community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our 2026 College Captains Charlee Dornom and Will Davies, and Vice Captains Leonardo Luppino and Chloe Sayers, for their outstanding service and leadership to the College over the past year.

In her address to students this morning, Principal Kelly McGurn reflected on the words of St Francis of Assisi and the College theme for 2026, "All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle." She reminded students that authentic leadership is grounded in service to others, saying:

“Leadership is an opportunity to be that light – not by seeking attention for yourself, but by helping others to be seen; not by having all the answers, but by being prepared to listen; and not by standing above others, but by standing alongside them. This understanding of leadership is at the heart of our Catholic tradition.”

We congratulate our student leaders and look forward to seeing them inspire, support and represent our College community in 2027.

We’re excited to announce that the 2027 College Musical Production will be Disney's beloved family favourite, The Little Mermaid.

Further information about auditions and the production will be shared in October 2026.

Students commencing Year 7 in 2027 will receive specific audition information via email later this year.

We look forward to seeing the talent, creativity and enthusiasm of our students as they bring this magical underwater adventure to life on stage!

A Fathers’ (and for all those who father us) Day Prayer

Let us give thanks for the gift of fatherhood; for nurturing and care giving, for teaching and supporting, for patience and strength, for giving and receiving love.

We ask you to bless all these wonderful fathers and for all those special people in our lives who father us. We pray especially:

For fathers who mourn the loss of a child or care for those in ill health and for those who wanted but have never been given the opportunity of having children. Lord, give them the presence of your love.

For fathers who do not receive their child’s love due to mental health, addiction or breakdown in relationship. Lord, give them your blessings of fortitude and grant mutual forgiveness where it is needed.

For fathers who are lonely or physically or emotionally isolated from their loved ones. Lord, give them the comfort of your healing touch.

We pray for all those who grieve the loss of a child or a father and find this time particularly painful. Lord, give them your peace.

For those who are fathers; we ask our God to be a constant presence in their lives and in the lives of those they father; grant them wisdom, humility and generous hearts. Lord, let their words teach and their actions speak.

And so Creator God, just as you entrusted the care of Jesus to his earthly father Joseph, we ask you to bless all our fathers in the care of their families, their communities and this world. Let them be a shining light of your love.

We ask these prayers, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Despite challenging windy conditions, our students showcased incredible talent, determination and school spirit at Casey Athletics Track this week, delivering exceptional performances across track and field to be crowned Overall SIS Athletics Champions.

A heartfelt thank you to our sports co-ordinators, staff and VET Sport, Aquatics and Recreation students for their leadership, assistance and expert support on the day. We are incredibly proud of every student who represented Padua and contributed to this fantastic achievement.

Thirty dedicated Padua College students took to the stage at the National Aerobics Competition on the Sunshine Coast this past weekend, performing beautifully and representing our College with great pride, passion and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to our Rosebud Year 7 team, the Sapphires, who took home 🥈 Silver, and the Rosies, our Rosebud Year 8/9 team who achieved 🥉 Bronze, both outstanding achievements at a national level!

We are incredibly proud of every student who competed, our amazing volunteer staff and wonderful student coaches, who have given so generously of their time, knowledge and encouragement to support these teams. Their commitment, determination and countless hours of training invested through the year truly shone through on the day.

Yesterday, students and staff across our campuses celebrated National Health & Physical Education Day. They enjoyed a range of fun activities packed into recess and lunch break ranging from pickleball and Just Dance to the hugely anticipated Y12 soccer final. Thank you to our Sports Captains Logan and Harry, and College Captains Will and Leonardo, for their initiative in providing this opportunity to encourage everyone to get moving, connect with others and have fun while being active.

Our VET Electrotechnology students visited BlueScope Western Port Works this week where they had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into heavy industry, automation, electrical control systems, and career pathways.

Highlights included a site tour that covered the pickle line, cold reduction, and metallic coating lines, as well as an electrical control room. Our students met current electrical apprentices, including Padua College graduate Angus Wales, and heard from senior management and HR personnel on career progression opportunities in metallurgy, mechanical and electrical engineering, with practical advice offered on job application preparation.

With more than 120 talented musicians from our Mornington Campus taking to the stage for this season’s Performing Arts Showcase, we’re looking forward to a wonderful celebration of music in our Performing Arts Centre on the evenings of Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 of September.

For some, it will be their first showcase ever (the Year 7 rock bands) and for others, it will be their very last as we say goodbye to our Year 12 students. You’ll hear songs from Joe Cocker, Jessie J, Bad Bunny, Kelly Clarkson, Guns N Roses as well as symphonic works and suites from Bach and Antonio Vivaldi to Schonberg, and a bit of System of a Down for equity.

To ensure that every family has the chance to see their child perform, the program will be repeated across both evenings.

Congratulation to Tom, Year 9 Romero, who will be travelling to Mexico next month to represent Australia in the World Baseball Softball Confederation Cup from 25 September to 4 October.

Tom has had an outstanding year winning the All-Star Team Award at the Under-15 State Winter Championships and being named Most Valuable Player during a recent baseball exchange program in Japan with other Victorian athletes.

“I've been playing baseball since I can remember, and it is all I have ever wanted to do,” explains Tom. “The thing I'm most looking forward to in Mexico is the chance to compete on the world stage and represent my country and the people who have gotten me to where I am today.” We wish Tom every success in achieving his goal to help put Australia on the map for U15 baseball. At Padua College, we believe that wellbeing is a shared responsibility, one that thrives when parents, guardians, and educators work together to support our young people. As part of our Holistic Approach to Wellbeing, we are pleased to offer our parent community the opportunity to participate in the Youth Mental Health First Aid Certificate Course this term.

This nationally recognised course equips participants with the skills to provide initial support to a young person (aged 12–18) who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, until professional help is available or the situation resolves.

Tuesday 8 September 5pm - 9pm
Thursday 10 September 5pm - 9pm
Tuesday 15 September 5pm - 9pm
Thursday 17 September 5pm - 9pm

This course is recognised by Su***de Prevention Australia and is a highly valuable program for anyone wanting to better understand and support youth mental health. Upon completion, participants will be certified as Youth Mental Health First Aiders. All sessions must be attended to receive certification.
