This group is run by a Speech Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist and targets the following:

* Pencil grip
* Self care
* Social skills and using social language with peers
* Attention and listening skills
* Expressing their ideas
* Phonological awareness and early literacy skills
* Gross motor skills and co-ordination
* Understanding language

Running in the January holidays, this program is for children beginning prep in 2022 who need extra assistance to ensure that they are ready to thrive, flourish and enjoy school.

Our Intensive Literacy Program is available during the upcoming January holidays!

This program assists children who experience difficulties in their literacy skills. Due to the intensive nature of the program and explicit teaching of the underlying skills necessary for literacy, children make great gains over the week. The Intensive Literacy Program is run in the child’s home with 5 to 10 hours intervention over the week.

Hello, my name is Sarah.

I decided to become an Occupational Therapist due to my love of helping others and supporting children grow to achieve their goals in fun creative ways. It is so rewarding to watch children overcome their challenges and celebrate their achievements. I will always strive to support their development in collaboration with families, teachers and other professionals, maximising their potential.

Outside of working as an Occupation Therapist you’ll find me at the local shops and cafes with friends, family and my dog Archie.

SOPHIE HUNT | Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

I am passionate about working with children to provide therapy in a fun and engaging way and supporting families to reach their goals. I love finding creative ways to make therapy enjoyable for both children and their families.

I decided to study Speech Pathology as I wanted to work with children to work towards their goals and to assist with increasing their ability to communicate effectively with those around them. I love working in my job and I am very passionate about involving families in therapy to ensure that our goals and activities our tailored to each individual child.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my friends, listening to music, spending time on art, watching my favourite tv shows and eating good food!
