Key requirements:
* Paid (employee status) Working with Children Check
* Available for afternoon shifts during the week (shifts available between 3pm-6pm in the working week) Vacation care shifts during school holidays (shifts available between 7am-6pm)
* Excellent communication skills
* preferably previous experience working with children aged 5-12
* Current First Aid in Education and care setting

Hours Care team. Family owned and run. We are a very passionate team.

* Studying or Qualified in Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services
* Teaching Assistants
* Qualified in Youth Work

Colouring some rice for our sensory tubs for the upcoming school holidays. Very easy to make.

1 cup Rice
1 teaspoon vinegar
As much food colouring as needed to make the colour you want
Place all above in a zip lock bag, rub together to coat then lay out in the sun on baking paper till dry 🙂 easy!

HAND-Y TIPS WITH LWK 🙏🧼 (a good one to save!)

We are big on our hygiene practices and always ensure all the little wonder kids wash their hands thoroughly before/after eating, after using the rest room, cleaning up, outings, after blowing nose/coughing and play!
👇
But we and parents know sometimes the kids just want to get outside in a hurry or eat their snacks but we must continue to teach them the importance of hand washing.
AND It doesn't need to be boring. 😃

Introduce their favourite song, and while washing with a lather of soapy warm water - start singing the chorus!!! 🎶🎶
Encourage your little one to sing along and do this for at least 20 seconds as 20 seconds is the general rule to remove germs and dirt.

For best HAND WASHING PRACTICES:
Wet your hands with clean running water.
Make sure the water isn't too hot for the little ones hands.
Use soap and lather up for about 20 seconds.
Make sure you get in between the fingers, on the backs of hands, and under the nails where germs like to hang out. And don't forget the wrists!
Rinse and dry well with a clean towel.
