They deal with guilt & judgement, worry for the future… and what to do next?
Whatever is next.. it MUST be positive.
School can’t usually suffer great loss in confidence & self esteem believing they are no longer capable.

Specialising in working with secondary students who can’t attend school. I bring 20 years of experience, research & passion.
I am proud to have supported countless young people & their families find hope & life changing success plans.

I will listen to your unique story, without judgement, meet the young person where they are at (through specific questions), and provide individualised referrals for their best directions forward.
Using vast growing local resources in this area I aim to connect you to innovative program/s, specific professionals, right fit education options or a suitable career pathway.. step by step through barriers and into colourful directionz. 🌈

I will be facilitating the panel for this event.
I’ll be bringing a client who was at home, not being able to attend school, for over 6 years.
Mum was out of hope when they both met with me, this time last year. After assessing their situation, they were referred to the right fit school.
Since then, this young person is about to graduate with their VCE VM Year 12, won a regional award for their achievements submitted an application for TAFE & best of all, made life long like minded friends at school.
With empathy & expertise, I am here to help.

In 2024 Colourful Directionz listened compassionately to over 45 parents/ student situations in school struggle helping them find supports or better fit education options, contributing to happier young people & their families 🙂🌈
Most were unaware of the innovative & flexible school programs available, courses & the professionals working in all areas of support.
I care about every story & am passionate about sharing individualised options to set young people up for positive change in 2025.

“ I wish I had found you five years ago” - from a parent who always felt the school she chose was not a great fit for her son, but had no idea of the alternatives until we met up.
Her son is lighter & brighter, having taken my advice to enrol in an adult education environment to get his VCE.
He went from not showing up at school to jumping up for school! No more schoolyard antics or uniform detentions!! Because being in that environment was a much better fit for who he is & where he has come from. Education is not a one size fits all … find out your options. 🌈

There are many alternatives for young people in approaching their education…. Even moreso with the new VM certificate on offer from 2023.
I meet many parents /students who are not aware of the array of options that are now available within main stream schooling, and even more who are unaware of other models of schooling that may be a better fit for the young person .
