Given the current city-wide flooding, the closure of schools and the government urging everyone to stay home tomorrow, we feel it would be inappropriate and unsafe to ask either students or teachers to make their way to BMS for a lesson tomorrow, so we're announcing that BMS will be closed on Monday the 28th February.

So Monday students, your teachers will be in contact with you shortly to let you know this, and make up lessons will be organised for you directly by your teacher.

We are wishing everyone safety, warmth and high ground.

To our BMS Students, Parents and Community,

The BMS Admin team (aka, Leah and Pana!) will be closing the office for some well earned rest, from Friday the 17th of December to Tuesday the 4th of January 2022.

The entire BMS teaching team-supreme and Pana and myself all wish you all a very happy, peaceful and safe holiday, surrounded by those you love.

We can't wait to be back with you in 2022, and lessons resume on Monday the 17th of January.

Dearest BMS Students and Musos,

I'm devestated that we're here again... as I'm sure you are too!

The Qld government has announced a snap lockdown today until 4pm on Tuesday the 3rd of August (possibly... hopefully!). Sob.

So students scheduled for lessons during lockdown periods will (as per last year) be offered lessons via Zoom or make ups if Zoom lessons aren't approrpriate or preferred by you. Your teachers will be in touch to co-ordinate with you what you'd prefer to do.

Our BMS adults choir, The Sound Collective, had a great time participating in the QMF (Queensland Music Festival) mass choral production of "Absolutely Everybody".

I just had tears in my eyes looking at the joy it brought the participants, the quality of the production, and mostly, the inclusion it promoted and lived. The past year and a bit has made us all a little more isolated from one another but this was a marvellous way to remind us that we can still find ways to connect and be joyous.

Plus, it showed that singing in a group really IS for everyone; Absolutely Everybody 😉 (boom tish).
