WELCOME TO TINY ART
Art classes at TINY ART is number one about having FUN! Children naturally love art, and by nurturing this attraction to creativity at an early age, they can enjoy a developmental head start in life physically, emotionally and intellectually. Come and join one of our small group art classes where your child will be introduced to the exciting world of art making by using various
media, tools and techniques. Classes are taught by a qualified art teacher with experience in all types of art making and a passion for teaching little artists. Children are encouraged to play and use their imagination to create in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. THE TEACHER
I'm a practising artist and qualified art teacher (Griffith University - BA Visual Arts in Fine Arts & BA in Education) with extensive experience in teaching students from 18 months up to 18 years. I have taught art classes and workshops in childcare centres and primary and secondary schools in both Australia and the UK. I love all types of arts and crafts and have experience in a range of different art making such as painting, printing, sculpture, textiles and clay. THE BENEFITS OF ART IN CHILDREN
Children naturally love art, and by nurturing this attraction to creativity at an early age, they can enjoy a developmental head start in life physically, emotionally and intellectually. They develop better hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Through art, children can increase concentration, practice problem solving and critical-thinking skills. They learn to observe and describe, analyse and interpret. They learn to think creatively, with an open mind, giving them the opportunity to express themselves with or without words. Art builds confidence and helps children discover that there is not just one right way to make art. Every child can feel pride in his or her original artistic creation and derive a sense of personal satisfaction from finishing projects, building the foundation of an important character trait throughout their adult lives.
