Musicians from John Forrest SC toured three Primary Schools last week, entertaining them with an energetic performance of dance-based tunes that had all the children on their feet and moving.
The Swing Band and Year 12 Certificate Band had students from Eden Hill PS, Hillcrest PS, and Embleton PS dancing, clapping, and calling for more live music at the end of the performance. Our senior musicians were not only entertaining these instrumentalists of the future but also completing tasks that contribute to their Certificate II in Music.

Our Year 11 General Art students are well underway in their first unit exploring the theme of EXPERIENCES through The Secret Life of My Pet production task.
Through drawings, photos, and experiments, students have explored the experience of caring for and connecting with an animal, before creating an A2 artwork that captures its unique spirit. Working across a range of media and artist influences, their pieces show both technical growth and genuine emotional connection. A beautiful start to their senior art journey.

The Year 11 Media students had a fantastic day out on their photography excursion last Wednesday. Both classes worked together in small groups to capture a range of photos in Kings Park, before walking into the city for lunch. The students ended the day at Elizabeth Quay, where they continued experimenting with composition and manual photography techniques. It was a great day of creativity and hands-on learning.
