When Mohsen first came to Businessplex, he arrived with years of paving experience, a strong work ethic, and a dream of starting his own business but little knowledge of where to begin in Australia. Coming from a CALD background, navigating business systems and finding the right information was challenging, but he remained determined to build a better future for himself.

From developing a business plan and registering his business to building his brand and marketing presence, we helped him to lay the foundations for success of his business.

On 30th April, Businessplex attended the 2026 Wanneroo Business & Community Expo!

🎓 On 2nd of April, we proudly celebrated the graduation of Beyond the Kitchen – Group 1

This impactful 9-week Beyond the Kitchen “learn-and-earn” hospitality program, funded by Lotterywest and delivered in collaboration with Multicultural WA, was designed to empower migrant and refugee women to build skills, confidence, and independence in a safe and supportive environment.

Businessplex was honored to partner in this journey by delivering a 4-day workshop focused on helping participants explore and take their first steps toward starting their own small businesses.

⭐ Success Story: Viraj Liyanage- Killercut Barbers 💇🏻‍♂️

After hearing an information session delivered by Businessplex, Viraj was inspired to take the next step toward building his own business.
From balancing a full-time job while running a mobile barber service on weekends, he made the bold decision to pursue his passion full-time through the Self-Employment Assistance Program delivered by Businessplex. With the support of Businessplex, Viraj secured a prime location at METRONET Bayswater with two years’ rent-free, navigated leasing and compliance requirements, and successfully launched his very own barbershop.

Today, Killercut Barbers is growing steadily, backed by a loyal customer base and a strong vision for the future.
