Building Business Through Community 🤝

On 28th August, Businessplex was pleased to attend the BNI Community Connect Business Expo 2026.

We were proud to have Gish, CEO of Businessplex, as a featured panel speaker for “Beyond Networking: Building Business Through Community,” where he shared how Businessplex supports aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into small businesses through training, business planning, practical guidance, mentoring and ongoing support through Self-Employment Assistance Program.

It was a great opportunity to connect with other organisations, share how we each support the business community in unique ways, and build stronger networks for small business success.

Brand Strategies Workshop for Startups

Last month, Businessplex hosted a Brand Strategies for Startups Workshop for our participants under the Self-Employment Assistance Program.

The workshop provided participants with practical insights into building a strong and recognisable brand, understanding their target audience, developing a clear brand identity, and using effective branding strategies to promote their businesses.

🎓 On the 2nd of July, Businessplex was delighted to attend the Beyond the Kitchen Group 2 Graduation Ceremony and celebrate the achievements of this inspiring group of women.

The 9-week Beyond the Kitchen “Learn and Earn” Hospitality Program, funded by Lotterywest and delivered in collaboration with the Multicultural Services Centre of WA, empowers migrant and refugee women with hospitality skills and pathways to employment and self-employment.

As part of the program, Businessplex delivered a 4-day business workshop, introducing participants to self-employment and entrepreneurship. Through these workshops, participants gained an understanding of what self-employment involves, explored business opportunities, and learned about the importance of business planning and owning a business.

Adding a special touch to the celebration, the graduates prepared the food for the ceremony themselves, putting their newfound skills on delicious display!

Congratulations to all the graduates! 👏
