Our final Pavlova results for this afternoon at Young Minds Academy Morisset OSHC! The children had such as blast decorating our mini pavlova - and even more fun taste testing it!

While doing so, the children discussed with their educator, Miss Hayley, about what they thought went well and what they thought we should do differently for next week when we make a big one! This was a great demonstration of the children's developing reflective skills, critical thinking and problem-solving!

Ho Ho Ho! Santa has arrived early at Young Minds Academy Morisset OSHC! It's so exciting to bring new life to our recycled cardboard by re-using it and transforming it into something new with the children's creativity - and this time we have brought Santa to the centre!

Every Thursday at Young Minds Academy Morisset OSHC, we have a "Cultural Foods" activity included in our program, where the children delve into different cultural recipes to learn about how they came to be, what they represent, how they are made, and most importantly - how it tastes!

This week, in the exciting lead up to Christmas, we decided to bring it back to Australia for our beloved Pavlova recipe! Take a look at our amazing children showing off their developing cooking skills!

What a dream the children’s time at Young Minds Academy can be - especially when making artworks that are inspired by the Surrealism art movement which centres around using your dreams and subconscious to make imaginative masterpieces.

This week in Art Club, the children posed for some photos, which were printed out. They then cut out their silhouette, and moved to our visual art diaries. The children let their imagination run wild by drawing environments to paste themselves into! This week, the children ventured into space. Under the sea, to a desert oasis and so much more - take a look!

The children at Young Minds Academy continue to blow their educators away with their ability to transfer their learning from one context to another! They have done amazing with identifying key features and patterns within Picasso’s famous art style and creating a completely original artwork using these features for our Art Club!

This week has been so exciting at Young Minds Academy OSHC with our weekly Art Club! Our latest theme is “Exploring Art History”! So far, we have done some artworks inspired by Picasso and the Surrealism art movement!

This weekly programmed activity was designed to provide the children with numerous learning opportunities, including developing their ability to utilise references, identify patterns, and utilise this knowledge to create an original artwork.

The last term of school is in full swing and homework sessions are back at Young Minds Academy Morisset OSHC! 🏫✏️📐

We understand the importance of children staying on top of their homework, as an integral part of their learning. Our educators offer the children assistance in completing their homework with our afternoon homework sessions at our centre!

We Are a Before and After School Care service that caters for the ages 5-12 years, our bus services collect and drop off to the following schools In our local area; Dora creek Public Scool, Heritage College, Bonnells Bay Public School, Morisset Public School, St John Vianney, Cooranbong Public School, Wyee Public School.
Our operating ours are 6:30am-6pm Monday to Friday.
