🏆 Local Government Week Award Winners 🏆

Narrabri Shire has continued its success at the Local Government Week awards, receiving this year’s Leo Kelly OAM Arts and Culture Project Award and the prestigious RH Dougherty Excellence in Communication Award (Reporting to Your Community)!

This is the first time Narrabri Shire has been recognised for the Leo Kelly OAM Arts and Culture Project, which was awarded for the Vandalised to Vibrant Community Mural Project. 👏

The project saw the transformation of the vandalism-prone Narrabri Creek Bridge underpass into a community mural as well as youth-led concrete bollard murals (📸).

Council also received the Dougherty Excellence in Communication Award relating to its communications around PFAS impacts.

Painting the old dairy on our property, over 100 years old 🏡🌿
I love painting structures that hold so much history, and how exciting that we now get to be one of many who have contributed to the story of this beautiful old dairy. 🎨
This little plein air painting is now entered in the Brick in a Wall exhibition at Tinkat Alley Art Studio 🧱✨
