We recently investigated giant bubbles which were so much fun! We are extending on this interest around Science with some simple experiments. Today we made a 'rain cloud', using water, shaving foam and food colouring.

Great for encouraging basic Science and Math skills, through hypothesising and observing cause and effect.

As our daycare children are all under 4 years, a great way for us to start learning about our Country's history is through colours. This week we will be focusing on the colours of all 3 Australian flags.

Today we made giant bubbles, the children were fully engaged with this activity. Lots of smiles, laughter and learning happening!
Next week, we are going to make bubbles that we can climb inside 😮🙊.

Bubbles are great for all ages as they help develop a range of skills.

Frozen egg and hidden Australian animals to help us extend our interest on colours! What a great activity this was, it kept all of the children engaged for so long. Firstly trying to peel the eggs and then trying to free the animals hidden in the ice.

Over my 15years in the childcare industry, a popular topic has always been new ideas for lunchboxes. So I thought I would share a quick healthy favourite in our house, egg muffins.
For this recipe I used zucchini, carrot and bacon peices but these can be mixed up to suit your family favourites.

8 eggs
1 grated zucchini
1 grated carrot
1 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup bacon peices
1/2 plain flour
Mix all together and cook at 180° for about 15minutes.

Great for packed lunches! 😋

We're learning about how to recycle and what items go in which bin. Yesterday we talked about where we can take old clothes and toys and where we put cardboard, glass and plastic.
I also set up a simple fine motor activity for Earth day, which was a great conversation starter.
