Week 6 Events!

In addition to the final shows for The Wind in the Willows, this week our year 12 students will be sitting their English, Mathematics, and Music Trial HSC examinations (Monday-Thursday), and we will be celebrating book week. The Scholastic Bookfair will be open at lunch time all through the week.

On Monday, our Under 5's Storytime group will be having a special Teddy Bear's Picnic (BYO teddy bear and snacks).

On Tuesday, we will start the day with our book parade, and move into our celebration of learning, with open classrooms until recess time. Morning tea will be provided for our adult guests.

On Thursday, some of our high school students will attend the State Athletics Carnival, and our Willowers will perform their thirs show (tickets are still available).

On Friday, our high school students will have sport and leisure, and it is the closing night for The Wind in the Willows. Thanks to Mr Barklay and all his parent volunteers for putting on such an amazing show!

Just a reminder for all our Under 5's Storytime families, that tomorrow we will be having stories in the library followed by a snack with teddies in the sun and some outside play on the grass. Families will also have the opportunity to check out our book fair.

We can't wait to see you and your teddies at 9:00am.

The curtain is about to rise on months of work at Moree Christian School, with students taking charge both on stage and behind the scenes.

Week 5 Events!

Wind in the Willows is nearly here! Mr Barklay and the cast and crew will be having another full day rehearsal on Monday at school in preparation for their performances later this week. Students may come out of uniform in comfortable, school appropriate clothes and shoes.

On Monday, Mrs Beness will once again be running the Under 5's Storytime, and she'd love to see you and your little ones there.

On Tuesday, primary school will have their final tennis sessions, and Mrs Poutawa will be running Salt and Light at lunchtime for students in years 5-8.

Because the COLA is out of action in preparation for the school play, we will not be having our usual fortnightly assembly this week, but we would love to see our school community at our book week events and celebration of learning in Week 6.

There is another play rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon, and our high schoolers have Homework Club with Mrs Barklay and Mr Lockrey on Thursday after school.

On Friday, during the day, our "Willowers" will perform twice, once as a matinee for some of their peers, and again, in the evening for the general public. There will be another show at 7:00pm on Saturday night, and two more shows next week. Tickets are available at the following link:

Looking ahead, Week 6 is book week, so if you haven't got your costumes ready, now might be the time to start thinking about which character you would like to be!

It is with great excitement that I can announce our Prekindy class is open for enrolment for 2027!

The program will be running on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during term time, and is open to students turning 4 before March 2027.

Parents have the option to enrol their children for one, two, or three days a week, and students may attend in conjunction with attending another childcare service.

Our wonderfully talented Mrs Beness will be running the program, which will provide a nurturing and caring environment, school readiness pre-literacy and numeracy activities, play-based learning, and specialist music and library lessons.
