What a Wonderful Book Week!

What a busy and exciting Book Week we have had at Minimbah State School! Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in the joy of reading, sharing stories, completing creative arts and crafts activities, searching for hidden Wallys, and enjoying special author visits that inspired and captivated young minds.

The highlight of the week was, of course, our fantastic Book Week Dress-Up Parade. It was wonderful to see so many students embrace their favourite book characters and bring stories to life through their creativity.

A big thank you to all the families who came along to celebrate with us and support our parade. The costumes were truly next level! The effort, imagination, and enthusiasm on display made the event a memorable celebration of reading and storytelling for our whole school community.

Thank you for helping make Book Week such a special occasion. We hope this week's activities have inspired a continued love of reading in all our students.

🕺💃 WHO SAID THE KIDS HAVE ALL THE TALENT?! 💃🕺

The Minimbah staff decided they weren’t letting the students have ALL the spotlight at Minimbah’s Got Talent today! 😂

Our staff hit the stage, busted out their best moves (some definitely more questionable than others 🤣) and absolutely committed to the performance!

We LOVE that our staff are always willing to get involved, have a laugh and make special memories with our kids.

No injuries, plenty of laughs and possibly a few staff members who now think they’re ready for the backup dancer life.

Minimbah staff… you’ve definitely got talent!

🌟 MINIMBAH’S GOT TALENT 2026! 🌟

What an AMAZING day!

We are so incredibly proud of all of our talented performers who took to the stage today for Minimbah’s Got Talent! The courage, enthusiasm and talent on display was incredible, and most importantly, everyone had a wonderful time!

Our performers competed across four categories:
🎶 Music & Singing
💃 Dance & Movement
🎨 Creativity & Innovation
🎭 Drama & Variety

Our category winners each took home an incredible $100 voucher, and we had plenty of fun spot prizes given out throughout the show!

A HUGE thank you to Connor, Mr Elms, Mrs Herne, Blue, Amber, Mr Woolfe, Mrs Paitai and Mr Wrigley for all of the work behind the scenes to make today happen. It certainly takes a team!

And finally, congratulations to every student who auditioned, performed, supported their friends and helped make Minimbah’s Got Talent 2026 such a fantastic celebration of our students.

Minimbah certainly has TALENT!
