As a college we take the opportunity that NAIDOC week provides to learn more about the cultures and people groups that God originally entrusted the stewardship of our nation to. As we learn together, we want to acknowledge that God chose the Gubbi Gubbi people to be the original custodians of the land upon which Carmichael sits. We give thanks for these people who have played an important role in God’s call to care for our part of the world, and we celebrate the gift that they are to our nation, its history and its future. What joy is ours also, as a group of people now from many cultures and nations, to gather here and join in the work that God has entrusted to us all. We look forward to seeing all our Carmichael community learning and growing together in a spirit of reconciliation, love, and justice, just as Jesus has done for us.

Our Years 4–6 students recently enjoyed a fantastic day at their Athletics Carnival! The energy was high as every student showed up with a positive, can-do attitude and gave their all in every event.
A big thank you to our wonderful community for coming along to cheer on the students — your support made the day even more special!
We were also very grateful that the weather held out, making it a perfect day for fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. Well done to all involved!

The Year 6 Market Day was an outstanding success, showcasing students' creativity, entrepreneurial skills and teamwork. Students borrowed start-up funds to research, design, market, and sell their own products. The event attracted strong support from the school community, with many stalls selling out completely. Thanks to the students' hard work and dedication, an incredible $4,000 was raised, which will be donated to local charities, making a meaningful difference in the wider community.

Our recent Preppies Warehouse celebration was an absolute blast! We officially put our Grass Heads on display, showing off exactly what happens when Design Tech, Science, and Art collide into one awesome project. From engineering the perfect pot to watching the science of plant growth bring their art to life, our preppies completely nailed it!
To top it all off, we celebrated with a classic sausage sizzle, because great design deserves great fuel.
We’re frankly blown away by these projects. Our preppies really know how to let their creativity grow!

A huge well done on your incredible finals victory in our Primary Chess Tournament! Your skill, focus, and sportsmanship were outstanding. 👏
We’re also so proud of all our competitors who took part, you’ve shown great determination and made the tournament such a success.
We’re already looking forward to many more exciting games during lunch times ahead. Keep those strategies sharp!
