Russ was the scapegoat on every team he played for. They said KD left OKC because of him, by the time he was in Washington they were calling him washed then he averaged a triple double again. But then he went to LA and even in a place he calls home they didn’t want him.

There will never be another player like Russ. No superstar, will ever be slandered the way this man was and yet Westbrook’s mentality has always been simple: never stop. The moment you stop believing and stop working is the moment you give up on what you’re capable of becoming.

Relentless. Fearless. Never stop.

There’s more to becoming a great player than what happens on the court. 🐍

The hours of training matter. The reps matter. The strength and conditioning matter.

But so does learning how to control your mind.

Kobe spoke openly about meditation and the role it played in helping him become more present, focused, and prepared.

In basketball, things happen quickly. A bad call. A missed shot. A turnover. A big moment. The next possession is always coming.

You can’t control everything that happens.

You can control how you respond.

Learning to slow your mind down allows you to stay locked into what actually matters — the moment in front of you.

Don’t just train your game.

Train the mind behind it. 🧠
