At Kidz Cubby, our natural environment and connection with animals are an important part of Learning for Real.

Australian Wildlife Week provides a meaningful opportunity for children to discover more about our incredible native animals, their habitats and the important role we all play in protecting them.

Through hands-on experiences, conversations and exploration, we encourage children to develop curiosity, kindness and respect for wildlife. We also support them to understand the importance of caring for Country and protecting the land, waterways and natural environments that native animals call home.

By nurturing these connections from an early age, we are helping children recognise that even the smallest actions can make a REAL difference.

🐨🌿 SAVE THE KOALA DAY 🌿🐨

At Kidz Cubby, our connection with nature, animals and wildlife is an important part of Learning for Real.

Through everyday experiences in our natural environment, children develop curiosity, compassion and an understanding that we all share a responsibility to care for the land and the creatures who call it home.

On Save the Koala Day, we celebrate one of Australia’s most treasured native animals while encouraging children to respect Country, protect natural habitats and understand how even small actions can make a REAL difference.

Together, we are nurturing children who value our environment, respect wildlife and grow with a genuine sense of belonging and responsibility to the world around them.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SIGN LANGUAGES

Today, Kidz Cubby celebrates the many different ways people communicate, connect and express themselves.

Introducing children to sign language supports communication, builds understanding and encourages respect for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. It also reminds us that every child deserves to feel heard, understood, valued and included.

At Kidz Cubby, REAL relationships begin when we take the time to listen, not only to spoken words, but also to signs, gestures, expressions and every child’s individual way of communicating.

Every voice. Every sign. Every child belongs.
