Anyone keen on revisiting the September School Reunion….was considered again in 2020 but didn’t run. Easy as, approx 1980-1990 (anyone and everyone else) including partners etc, potentially same venue (Cottesloe Beach Hotel), purchase own drinks and contribute for finger food, 6.00pm to late, on a Friday or Saturday evening in September 2022! …..thoughts? 🙋🏽‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🙅🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ …there maybe COVID implications, who knows….life just goes on.

….in response to a question on the Morawa District High School Friends page this morning…..What was Yellow Faction called?

…Bellaranga, Karakarook, Undernooka and Orango…..changed to Phoenix, Griffin(?), Centaur and Pegasus in 1984 (against student wishes, we a-posed it as Year 12’s) (and then Phoenix from black to blue due the heat/early nanny state), then in the mid ‘90’s to Saphire, Ruby and Emerald, (completely random from a survey). Yellow was dropped when the factions were reduced to 3.
I have felt for a very long time, in fact since 1984 😉, that the faction names should be returned to the original local hill names to reflect sense of place and history, they were four local hills/landmarks within the Shire of Morawa…..if not, and even better still, to to be given First Nations names from our local areas ‘Widdi’ heritage, to reflect contemporary societies need/desire/expectation to honour our past and connection to country and truth telling…….now off the ‘High 🐎’ and down from the ‘Soap Box’….🤓

Any one keen on doing the Morawa ADHS Reunion again, making it an annual event as suggested last year? (Saturday before the September School holidays) Saturday 15 September 2018.
If there’s interest we can book somewhere similar or the same, Cottesloe Beach Hotel.
What do you think?
