This week we'll be exploring SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme), the special consideration program used by institutions to consider circumstances and demographic factors that may have negatively affected your education. There are four categories within SEAS and you can apply for as many as are relevant to your circumstances.

Our first video explains how SEAS works and why every VTAC applicant should at least apply for Category 1.

For more information about SEAS visit www.vtac.edu.au/seas

Earlier this term, our Year 9 Art students were tasked during remote learning to create a representation of something that means a lot to them. It could be a family pet that has been a companion during lockdown, a person that means a lot to them or an object that they hold dearly. The submissions were truely heartfelt and so wonderful to see.

Mooroolbark College would like to congratulate Daniel Harrison of Year 9 for receiving 93% in his recent online Grade 3 Classical Piano Examination. Daniel began lessons at Mooroolbark College with Erica Sykes, our incredible piano teacher, in Year 7. His commitment and drive to achieve this goal has been inspiring, with preparation for the exam commencing in March.

He was required to play three pieces - "The Chase" by Burgmuller, "Hornpipe" by Purcell and "Toccatina" by Kabalevsky. He is also studying the clarinet at school and playing in the band for the school musical.

Congratulations on your achievement Daniel, we are very proud.
