Why you should fix your breathing Short video on fixing shallow breathing

Did you know that it is incredibly common in Westernised societies that people do not breathe properly? We're a bunch of shallow breathers! This is something that I've come to know as true over the last 8 years of being a vocal coach. Why is it important to rectify this? What is the solution? I'll have a short video soon to answer these questions, like this if you're interested in seeing this video.

Has your singing sucked lately? Maybe your vocal cords are in need of lubrication. With the weather warming up we need to be drinking more water.

The best guilt-free excuse for staying in bed for 5 minutes longer: Do your breathing practice! Lie on your back, relax every muscle, make your stomach push out (like its a balloon full of air) and then squeeze the breath back out slowly using your abdominal muscles.

SINGERS: Remember to incorporate vocal health regimes into your lives. Stay hydrated, breathe properly ALL THE TIME not just when you're going to sing.

Bryan Cranston's advice to aspiring actors. Although Bryan Cranston was known as the whacky dad in "Malcolm in the Middle", he has since won an Emmy Award for his role in the drama series "Breaking Bad". This clips shows Cranston providing young actors with terrific advice.

Thoroughly enjoying watching The Voice this year. Will.I.Am is a total crack up!
There's some pretty serious talent in this series. My heart goes out to all those singers who didn't get through the blind auditions, some were so close! I couldn't help but think that some of them needed to learn how to breathe and support better, lol anyone agree? It really does make such a huge difference, fixes up a lot of problems.
