GRADUATION AND FAREWELL ASSEMBLY 2025

To the Class of 2025,

As we reach the final hurdle of the 6-year race that is high school, the Prefects of 2025 want to congratulate every single one of you on completing your journey at High.

We’ve been through it all together. From the awkward first days in Year 7 to the chaos and stress of Year 12, we’ve laughed, cried, grown, but we have eventually made it to graduation. What once felt like a distant dream has finally become our reality.

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. We faced many obstacles such as the pandemic disrupting our first 2 years and forced us away into online learning, and the loss of our beloved brother Andrew Xu, who left us far too soon. His leopard print hair, infectious smile and radiant presence will forever hold a place in all of our hearts which has built a bond between us that will never be taken away.

Fly high Aspect 🕊️, you will forever be a part of the Sydney High family and we will meet again.

To the most resilient, brave and compassionate group of boys,

Be very proud of both our sporting and academic achievements, as our legacy will forever remain in the esteemed halls of Sydney High.

Goodbye and good luck for the HSC and all your future endeavours.

Come support the High Debating firsts at the great hall tomorrow. Both teams are undefeated so it makes a de facto final. As we packed in the grammar hall and won the plate last year, we hope to do the same this year.

As our sun begins to set, a new dawn rises, marking the outset of a new era.

Congratulations to the Prefect-elects of 2026, led by Jude Ou as the School Captain, Azam Mohamed as the School Vice Captain and Eric Liu as the Senior Prefect.

The annual Back to High Day is coming up in a little over two weeks time on Saturday 16th August. It’s a great day for Old Boys and Past Parents to reconnect with each other and the school at McKay Oval and the gym.

The schedule is below, noting that all High teams will play Grammar’s first grade sides on the day, including rugby.
