Lazy Sunday afternoons are made for sweet stuff! 🍪🍫

With a little help from Ms. Hayley, students got busy making chocolate-coated Anzac biscuits and other tasty treats. Meanwhile, Ms. Harvey was hard at work in the kitchen making homemade chicken and vegetable soup.

Judging by the empty bowls and disappearing biscuits, we'd call that a successful afternoon! 😋🍲

This evening, we were fortunate to welcome the Piyalbajarri Show to our college. Peter, Rosie, Mitch and Vicky shared songs, stories and yarns from their Indigenous culture, drawing on a wealth of knowledge and lived experience. Their warmth, humour and powerful insights captivated our students, sparking meaningful conversations and encouraging them to reflect on the rich history, traditions and perspectives of Indigenous Australia. It was an entertaining, thought-provoking and memorable evening for all who attended. The evening concluded with tea, coffee and cake, providing an opportunity for students, supervisors Shane and Ms Harvey, and our guests to continue the conversation and share even more stories and insights.

🍋 Ready Steady Cook Round 4: Lemon Olive Oil Cake Chaos! 🍰

Team Sam & Justice faced off against Team Jenna & Lucian in a nail-biting battle, with a supervisor on each team keeping the pressure well and truly on. The kitchen descended into a mad panic as cakes were baked, glazed and frantically decorated in a race against the clock.

Whispers of judge bribery may or may not have been circulating, tensions were high, and with just 5 minutes to spare, both teams managed to present their masterpieces to judges Tash & Mark!

After much deliberation, Team Jenna & Lucian claimed victory with an impressive 39/50, narrowly edging out Team Sam & Justice on 36.5/50.

The real winners? Everyone who got to eat the cake! 🎉🏆🍋

🌱🍉🥒🌻 From little things, big things grow!

This afternoon our students carefully planted watermelon, cucumber and sunflower seedlings into little jiffy pots nestled within our planter box, ready for the warmer months ahead.

There wasn't much "getting their hands dirty" involved. Most managed the job with just one finger to poke the seedlings into place! 😄☝️🌱

The competition is now officially underway, with a prize on offer for the student who grows the tallest sunflower. 🏆🌻

The seedlings may only be tiny now, but the bragging rights are already growing rapidly. May the best sunflower win! 🌻😁🍉🥒☀️
