Moonta Area School OSHC is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified educators who are keen to join our wonderful team.
If you are studying towards a tertiary degree in the education field, or have completed or are working towards Certificate IV Qualification in Education Support or Diploma in Children’s Services Education and Care or similar, we would love to hear from you.
Positions available are on a casual basis and between the hours of 6.45am – 9am and 3.00 – 6.00pm on weekdays during the school term, and 6.45am – 6pm during school vacation time.

What an Incredible Two Weeks of Vacation Care!

What an amazing school holiday program we've shared together! Over the past two weeks, our children have enjoyed a wonderful mix of creativity, adventure, friendship and fun, making memories that will last well beyond the holidays.

From colourful tie-dye creations, face painting and fairy gardens to mindfulness activities, pancake art, Christmas in July celebrations and beautiful mosaic masterpieces, every day offered new opportunities for children to explore, create and grow.

Our excursions were also a highlight, with children representing our service so beautifully during visits to the aged care facility, the cinema and the croquet club. We were so proud to see their kindness, respect, confidence and positive attitudes while out in the community.

Most importantly, it has been fantastic to watch new friendships blossom, confidence grow and so many smiles shared throughout the holidays. Whether children were getting creative, trying something new, practising mindfulness or simply enjoying time with friends, every experience helped create a fun, safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children for bringing your enthusiasm, kindness and energy each day and to our families for your continued support throughout the holiday program. We also want to thank our amazing educators for their dedication, creativity and care in making these two weeks such a success.

We hope everyone has had as much fun as we have and we can't wait to do it all again next school holidays with even more exciting adventures, creative experiences and unforgettable memories!

A few weeks on from our Vacation Care program, we’re still reflecting on all the fun, laughter, and wonderful memories shared throughout the holidays!
The children enjoyed a fantastic range of activities and experiences across the program. Highlights included our special Waterplay Day, an imaginative “Trip to France” filled with themed fun and a still life painting workshop at OSHC where everyone had the chance to get creative and produce some amazing artwork.
One of our favourite excursions was our excursion to Kadina for Putt Putt golf and a mini train ride, which brought plenty of smiles and excitement. We also loved visiting Wallaroo OSHC, made even more memorable with a visit from Wilbur’s Wildlife, where the children got up close with some incredible animals and learned lots along the way.
Alongside these special activities, the children participated in many other games, crafts, themed days and group activities that kept everyone engaged and having fun throughout the holidays.
It was a fantastic program and we are so proud of the enthusiasm, creativity and kindness shown by all the children. A huge thank you goes to our amazing staff for all their hard work and dedication in making the program such a success.
We hope everyone has settled back well into the school term and we’re already looking forward to the next holidays :)
