BOOK WEEK - DAY 5 🐉👑

And just like that, we’ve reached the final day of Book Week!

What a week it has been. Five days filled with our favourite characters, much-loved stories, incredible costumes and plenty of imagination.

A huge thank you to our families for getting behind the fun and, of course, to our amazing team for the effort, enthusiasm and creativity you have brought all week.

While the costumes might be packed away for another year, we hope the magic of books continues every day.

✨🌈 BOOK WEEK - DAY 4 🌈✨

Another wonderful day of Book Week!

Today was once again filled with much-loved characters, creative costumes, and lots of excited little faces.

We have loved watching the children recognise characters from their favourite stories and proudly share who they have come dressed as.

Book Week is such a lovely reminder of the magic that books bring to childhood.

Stories spark imagination, encourage creativity, build language, and take us to places where absolutely anything is possible.

A huge thank you to our families and our team for continuing to make this week so much fun for our children.

Four days down, one more day of Book Week fun to go!

🐛🧚‍♂️👑 BOOK WEEK - DAY 3 👑🧚‍♂️🐛

Another day of Book Week fun at Green Leaves Moonee Beach!

We have loved seeing our Centre fill with familiar faces from much-loved stories, with plenty of creativity, imagination, and excitement along the way.

There is something pretty special about watching children light up when they recognise a character from a book they know and love.

A huge thank you to our families for getting involved and to our team for continuing to bring the magic each day.

We’re only halfway through the week, and there is still plenty more Book Week fun to come!

📚 BOOK WEEK DAY 2 - MATILDA DAY 📚

Today, we stepped straight into the wonderful world of Roald Dahl for our Matilda-themed Book Week day, and our team certainly understood the assignment!

From Miss Trunchbull to Matilda and a few familiar faces from Crunchem Hall, there was plenty of fun and laughter throughout the day.

Chef Carlie even went the extra mile for our August Cake Day, recreating Bruce Bogtrotter’s famous chocolate cake!

And speaking of commitment, can you spot the two team members who really took their costumes to the next level? We think they deserve some extra points for dedication!

We are so grateful for the effort our team puts into days like these.

It’s the little extras, the enthusiasm, and their willingness to join in the fun that make these experiences so magical and memorable for our children.

✨ BOOK WEEK MAGIC DAY 1 ✨

…and just like that, Book Week has begun!

Today, we kicked off a wonderful week of celebrating stories, imagination, and the magic that happens when we open a book. It was so lovely to see our children and team embracing the fun, with some very special characters making their way through our doors.

Book Week is always a favourite on our calendar, but beyond the costumes and excitement, it is a beautiful opportunity to nurture a lifelong love of books.

Sharing stories supports children’s language, creativity, imagination, and connection, while showing them that books can take us just about anywhere.

Thank you to everyone who joined in for Day 1. We can’t wait to see what characters and stories make an appearance tomorrow!

🍝🧑🏽‍🍳 MINI MASTERCHEFS 🧑🏽‍🍳 🍝

Recently, our little Preschool Masterchefs got their hands on making some delicious pasta for their lunch!

Together, they discovered how some basic pantry ingredients can turn into one of their most loved meals.

Their wonder and awe as the dough travelled through the pasta maker was contagious!

With a little teamwork, some muscle to knead the dough, and plenty of handle-turning, their pasta was made.

Well done, little chefs 💚

🏁 THE GREAT BALLOON RACE! 🏁

This morning, there was plenty of friendly competition in the outdoor yard during our spontaneous balloon race!

It turns out it is trickier than it looks, and sometimes slow and steady really does win the race. The children then eagerly requested the popular game of “Keepy Uppy”, which many families will be familiar with from Bluey. The aim of the game is to simply keep your balloon in the air!

It is amazing how much fun can be had with just a few balloons, some great friends, and a little competition! 🎈

🐣 HENNY PENNY INCURSION 🐣

It’s been a couple of weeks since our Henny Penny chicks headed off to their new homes, and we’re definitely missing having them around!

From the excitement of watching the eggs begin to hatch, to meeting each tiny new arrival and watching them grow stronger and more adventurous each day, the experience brought so much wonder and curiosity to the children.

Our Henny Penny incursion was such a beautiful hands-on opportunity to learn about life cycles, growth, and what it means to gently care for living things.

We hope our little feathered friends are loving their new homes.

We certainly miss their sweet little chirps around the Centre!

PJS ALL DAY

Today, the children arrived full of excitement, proud to show off their favourite pyjamas.

There were fluffy dressing gowns, slippers, and plenty of smiles as the children and educators embraced the perfect excuse to stay comfy all day.
