🔥🦎 Some of our Year 6 students had fun joining in with the Ogah Ogah parade on Sunday night after attending a workshop with their class on Friday. Their sea bird sculptures looked great! 🪶

The Australian Government is introducing a new emergency warning system later this year called AusAlert.

AusAlert uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices during local and national disasters.

These messages aim to keep communities informed so they can take action, saving lives and property.

In the lead up to AusAlert being used, there will be a national test on Monday 27 July.

A wonderful, busy week of fossil excavating and creating, as well as experimenting with rolling, sliding and stacking in Pre-Kinder and LiL 🦖🏐

🎨 Today our Year 6 class visited the Ogah Ogah Dome to put the finishing touches on their bird sculptures, ready for Sunday’s procession. They also helped construct the lantern, complete with seaweed hanging from it! ✨

🎉 If you'd like to join the Bowen Road group in the procession to the burning of the Ogah Ogah, we'd love to see you there!

📍 Meet near the fountain at Franklin Square at approximately 4:00 pm.

🚶‍➡️ The parade will depart at 5:00 pm and travel along Davey Street to the Regatta Grounds.

🔥 We've been told that school groups get a great position to watch the burning of the Ogah Ogah.

💚 Look out for Bowen Road's green lantern with seaweed hanging from it so you can gather with our group.

We hope to see lots of Bowen Road families there! 😊
