Have a safe and restful weekend everyone and just to let those know who I haven't already told, Mrs Melissa Lawrence, one of our wonderful Kindergarten teachers, will be taking our Pre-Kinder and LiL sessions for the next week and a half while Miss Allen is on leave. Next week is Book Week for 2026! 📚 We invite all children to wear a favourite book character to Pre-Kinder and LiL sessions on Monday and Friday. We will be looking at some of this year's short-listed books and celebrating the joy of reading 😊

✨End of term excursion announcement! ✨
We are planning an excursion and invite all LiL and Pre-Kinder families along to the West Hobart 'Train park' (Caldew Park) for a play and bbq on the last Friday of Term 3, the 2nd of October.
Please let Miss Allen or Kate know if you would like to come asap, so we can book bus/es and organise how many bbq supplies to buy! 🤸‍♀️🚂

❄️ This coming week in Pre-Kinder and LiL we have a Winter table set up, which children are invited to explore through sensory and imaginative play 🦭
This type of table also encouraging language skills, through talking about what can be seen, pointing to new words and asking questions. The more we talk and respond to our children, the stronger the child's communication skills will grow 🧠☺️

This coming Monday and Friday we will be celebrating our beautiful, diverse cultures and ethnicities that make up our Pre-Kinder and LiL families through the theme of belonging 🌏 👋

We invite families, if they would like to, please bring in and share a special tradition, photo, song, story or object with our group that is important to your family. We will run this a little like a 'family tradition show and tell' during mat time.
