🎉 WOW… 11 YEARS!! 🎉

Seriously… where have the last 11 years gone?!

On the 1st of October 2015, I got my second baby — Little Munchkins. 🧡
Well… technically my third, I’m not sure Jordi would be too impressed if I ranked the centre above him. 😂

And what an absolutely crazy, amazing ride these 11 years have been!

We’ve had the highs, the lows, the “well… that didn’t quite go to plan” moments 🤦‍♀️, some spectacular fails, plenty of laughs, a few tears, LOTS of crazy ideas… and some amazing wins.

But most of all, we have created something that I am ridiculously proud of.

I’m so lucky to have an incredible team beside me, with so many of them having been here for most of this crazy ride. They’ve rolled with my ideas (and their eyes), survived my “I’ve been thinking…” conversations and the "So... you know how you love me" 😂 and helped turn Little Munchkins into the place it is today.

And to every family, child, educator and person who has been part of Munchkins over the past 11 years — THANK YOU. 🧡

Little Munchkins has never just been a childcare centre. It’s our little community, our extended family and, quite often, our beautifully organised chaos.

I absolutely LOVE what we have created over the past 11 years, and I wouldn’t change this crazy ride for anything.

Now onto year 12… and knowing me, there will definitely be another idea, project, adventure or bit of chaos just around the corner. 😂

Happy 11th Birthday, Little Munchkins! 🎂🥳🧡

Today is Bravehearts day!! So there's no better way to celebrate then transfer out market funds!!
A massive thanks to everyone who participated in our Markets. We had a massive turn out and a HUGE Monster Raffle!
I can't take any credit for this event I didn't do anything except rock up late. Haha So thanks to Kim and Rikki-lee who organised this, helped set it up and put it back out.

The total amount raised for the night was $2257.50! It is outstanding!!

Noone likes odd number so we rounded it up.

Thanks you to everyone who had something to do with it especially my girls!!

🎆🎇 AND THAT’S A WRAP… EDUCATORS WEEK 2026! 🎇🎆

WHAT. A. WEEK. 😂

They’ve loved me.
They’ve hated me.
They’ve loved me again.

And honestly… that was all before 10am on Monday. 🤣

There’s been sugar.
There’s been surprises.
There’s been side quests.
There’s been bribery.
There’s been questionable hiding spots.
There’s been a LOT of laughing.
And somehow, amongst all of that, we actually managed to look after children too. 😂👏

But we couldn’t think of a better way to finish Educators Week than with our Friday TradeMutt Day 🌈

Every Friday we wear our TradeMutt shirts to help start conversations and raise awareness around mental health — because behind all the laughs, chaos and carrying on, there’s something pretty important underneath it all:

💚 Check on your people.
💚 Talk about the hard stuff.
💚 Laugh loudly.
💚 Ask twice.
💚 And never underestimate how much simply being there for someone can matter.

And THAT pretty much sums up this bunch of women.

They look after our little people.
They look after our families.
And most importantly, they look after each other.

So girls…

Thank you for playing along with my ridiculous ideas.

Thank you for laughing even when you probably wanted to hide from me.

Thank you for being the crazy, caring, colourful, supportive bunch of humans that make Little Munchkins what it is.

And thank you for giving me yet another reason to realise just how lucky we are to have this team. 💚🧡

Now please excuse me…

I need approximately 47 cokes, a very large nap and three to five business days to recover. 😂

Because Educators Week is officially DONE.

🚨 EDUCATORS WEEK UPDATE 🚨

Righto… what day are we up to?
Does anyone know?
Does it even matter anymore? 😂

The sugar has kicked in.
The sugar has worn off.
Someone probably needs a coffee.
Someone definitely needs a nap.
And weirdly enough… the children are still here. 🤣

So today’s Educators Week announcement is brought to you by:

✨ caffeine
✨ questionable decisions
✨ “WHERE’S MY DRINK BOTTLE?”
✨ starting one job and somehow ending up doing seven others
✨ walking into a room and forgetting why you’re there
✨ and the incredible women who somehow make this chaos work EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Because seriously…

OUR GIRLS ARE ABSOLUTE LEGENDS. 💚

They teach.
They cuddle.
They clean.
They create.
They negotiate with tiny humans over whose turn it is.
They find missing shoes that are somehow directly in front of the child looking for them.
They answer 4,827 questions before lunch.
They remember everyone’s drink bottles, hats and random rocks…

…but have absolutely no idea where they put their own drink. 😂

And somewhere amongst ALL OF THAT…

They make children feel safe.
They make them laugh.
They help them learn.
They love them for exactly who they are. 💚

And they make Little Munchkins the slightly chaotic, loud, fun, ridiculous and absolutely wonderful place that it is.

So girls…

👏 YOU’RE AWESOME.
👏 WE APPRECIATE YOU.
👏 KEEP DOING YOUR THING.

And now I’m off because I started writing this post when I was supposed to be doing something else…

So today's the day!!! Today is Educators day!!! Tinkerbell came last night and added a splash of fairy dust to the centre.

Knowing the girls, and how competitive they all are, everyday this week they have been set a challange to find one of their gifts. Hahaha Ask them how its going when you see them.

No matter if you are one of our Educators or an Educator that follows our page. We all hope you have an amazing day.
