MADD Week 2026 is coming!

Get ready for a week of incredible creativity as our students take over the stage, screen and gallery for MADD Week 2026!

From Monday 12 October to Thursday 15 October, come along and celebrate the talent of our Creative Industries students across Dance, Drama, Art, Film and Music.

🎭 Drama Showcase – Tuesday, 6:00pm in Performing Arts
🎨 Art Exhibition – Wednesday, 4:30pm (award presentation 5:00pm) at the Art Gallery

MOUNTAIN CREEK SHS RUGBY LEAGUE EXCELLENCE PROGRAM - YEAR 7 – GRAND FINAL BOUND!

Congratulations to our Year 7 Rugby League team on qualifying for the Struddy’s Cup Grand Final following a hard-fought 24–6 victory over Ormeau Woods SHS. The win also ensures our Year 7 team will play a qualifying match for the Broncos Tier 1 Renouf Shield in Term 1 next year — another fantastic opportunity for the group.

Our Year 9 team also produced a strong performance in their semi-final, narrowly falling short against St Mary’s College 14–6 in a closely contested match. Today at MCHS, a bag is defined as whatever our Year 12s want it to be (within reason)!

From Esky's and giant LEGO heads to even a few prams, apparently anything can be a bag if you can put some stuff in it.

Future MCSHS Musicians – Reminder!

A reminder to our current Year 6 students joining Mountain Creek SHS next year — our Instrumental Music Open Rehearsal is happening tomorrow!

As part of Transition Day, students are invited to stay after school and experience our Music program by rehearsing alongside our:

🎺 Concert Band
🎻 String Ensemble
🎤 Rising Voices Choir

📅 Thursday 3 September
🕑 2:10pm–4:00pm
📍 MCSHS Music Department

Students can bring their instrument along and have the opportunity to meet our Instrumental Music directors and current students. Students who are already attending Transition Day can bring their instrument in the morning, and our Music staff will safely store it until the afternoon.

Please bring your own afternoon tea.

Parents and carers are also welcome to join us for the meet and greet from 2:10pm–2:45pm.

We can't wait to welcome our future musicians and give them a taste of life in the MCSHS Instrumental Music program!
