🏛️ Order in the court! ⚖️
On Wednesday 14th May, our Year 10 Money, Markets and the Law class swapped the classroom for the heart of Melbourne, taking on Parliament and the Former Magistrates’ Court of Victoria for a day full of politics, law and plenty of fun!
Students watched a live parliamentary sitting in action before meeting our local member, Daniela De Martino, where they fired off questions about issues that matter to them and our local community.
The real drama began in the courtroom, with students stepping into the roles of lawyers, witnesses and magistrates during a mock court case at the Former Magistrates’ Court. Objections were raised, arguments were made, and hidden acting talents may have been discovered! 🎭👩⚖️👨⚖️
An unforgettable day of hands-on learning, big questions, and real-world experiences beyond the classroom!

Division Cross Country Results
Great work to the nearly 70 students who represented Monbulk College at the Division Cross Country at Lilydale Lake. Out of the 9 schools we finished 2nd overall which is a super effort for a school of our size and speaks volumes of the effort and culture of our students.
Congrats to Slade Dean who finished 1st in 14 Boys and our super Watson twins (Oscar and Eliza) who both finished 3rd in the 17-20’s. There were plenty of runners who finished in the top 15 (including 4ths to Eve Murray-Davis and Marley Warham) and now move on to the Eastern Region XC at Yarra Glen on Thursday 11th June. Go Monny!

Year 7 Division Volleyball
Congrats to all of the Year 7's who participated in their first Division Volleyball tournament. Typical Monbulk teamwork, spirit and sportsmanship was shown throughout the day. Great job to our Year 8 & 9 referee's, scorers and coaches. Without any training due to our gym upgrades, we played well enough to reach both the boys and girls final, with the boys taking out the win in the grand final to reach the Eastern Region Finals in term 4. Go Monny !!
