It was a pleasure to host Tara McCormack GAICD VIC/ TAS State Director from Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia at our office today.

We had a valuable discussion on the key issues impacting our respective members; from red tape, supply pressures on extractive materials to rising costs and the broader outlook for the industry.

An essential opportunity to share perspectives and explore how we can continue working together to support our members and the broader construction sector.

Thank you for visiting.

Yesterday was R U OK? Day, but checking in with the people around us is something we can do every day.

In civil construction, we spend a lot of time working alongside each other and looking out for one another on site. Over time, we often notice when a workmate isn’t quite themselves, maybe they seem more withdrawn, more agitated or just a little different than usual.

A simple “Are you OK?” can open the door to a conversation someone might really need.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Being there, listening and letting someone know you care can be a meaningful place to start.

Looking out for each other is part of building strong teams and a conversation can make a difference, any day of the year.
