Hi there TTA Inspectors.
When visually inspecting an earth electrode disconnect tag, have a look at the wording on the tag. It might not say,
WARNING:
MAIN EARTHING CONDUCTOR-DO NOT DISCONNECT
Wiring Rule 5.5.1.3
Attention to detail is a must in the safe approach assessment.
Have a good look!
The tag, might say, ‘warning electric shock hazard’

💡Don’t Risk It ⚡️🪜🪛
Are you studying for your LEP practical assessment for the A Grade Victorian electricians license?
Did you know that the switchboard build is worth 35 marks out of 100 marks for the LEP assessments. If you get a zero for your switchboard, you will fail the LEP Assessment, because you will get 65 marks out of 100 marks.
Remember, the pass mark for all electrical licensing assessments is 75%.
At TTA, we will train you from the ground up, so that you are successful on your switchboard build.
Don’t risk it, come to TTA, where your success is our success.

💡Are you an A Class electrician?
📞Contact us to find out how. Hi there TTA Inspectors. Remember that switchboard wiring can be any colour except green/ yellow.
Amendment 3 of AS/NZS 3000:2018 allows wiring within a switchboard enclosure to be any colour.
However, this becomes confusing when red neutral conductors, as switchboard wiring, are connected with black neutral conductors, used as installation wiring.
Also, switching the supply neutral is prohibited as this PEN conductor provides the earthing for a TNCS earthing system for Australia.
So for those LEI’s studying for their safe approach assessment, watch out for these issues.
Andrew.

We had a lovely evening at the Middy’s Info Trade night on Wednesday.
Met up with many colleagues and industry professionals. Andrew won a fab lucky door prize, we’ll enjoy a well deserved night away in the Yarra Valley.
I supported the breast cancer network, thanks ladies for my tradie lady beanie.
Thankyou Nick and the Middy’s staff for putting on a fantastic event, loved the MC and speakers, dinner was delicious and everyone was very friendly & welcoming.

Josh is a wonderful young man, on his final LEP assessment result of 9️⃣5️⃣% 👏🏼 he sent TTA this 👌🏼message.
“Thank you, to you and your team. You all were very supportive and exactly what I needed.”
We are so proud of you Josh. Congratulations on achieving your dreams 🌟
Josh was inspired to be an electrician while he was working for Jemena (electrical supply authority) with the call centre team, and really enjoyed learning about electrical terminology and jobs while helping people in this field.
He decided to start a mature-age apprenticeship and became a NECA apprentice, and after working as an apprentice at Stowe, is now looking forward to gaining a full time career with Stowe.
Josh also has an interest to further his TTA learning in our motor skills and one day to become a Licensed Electrical Inspector- LEI.
We wish you all the best Josh and thank you for choosing TTA.
