Our early learning program uses brain-based learning activities to teach basic literacy and numeracy skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

What is Clever Sprouts? Clever Sprouts is a preschool learning program that utilises brain-based learning techniques to teach basic literacy and numeracy skills. Brain-based learning (BBL) refers to the teaching methods, lesson design and classroom environment that is based on the latest scientific research about HOW the brain learns best. Essentially, brain theory has found that by engaging the entire body during instruction will optimise the learning process and will result in dramatic improvements in:
• Concentration and Focus
• Memory
• Logic
• Academics: reading, writing, math, test taking
• Physical coordination
• Relationships
• Self-responsibility
• Organisation skills
• Attitude

Furthermore, brain research has found that 85 percent of a person’s brain develops before the age of 5 (otherwise known as the “formative years”) and hence young children have a high ability to absorb the influences in their surroundings. Consequently, this is the best window of time and opportunity to harness your child’s innate potential to learn the academic and executive skills needed for them to excel in school and find success in life. Each 45 minute session includes but are not limited to the following activities:
• Brain preparation exercises
• Review
• Letter recitation
• Letter recognition
• Letter Sounds
• Hand-writing
• Brain break exercises
• Number recitation
• Number recognition
• Number manipulation (sorting/matching/ordering)
• Story/reflection time

Structure
• Fast-paced sessions of 50 minutes, once a week
• Sessions run during school term
• Maximum of 6 children per class
