Last week, the children and educators wore yellow to recognise R U OK? Day and shared conversations about kindness, friendship, and caring for others.

Throughout the day, the children talked about feelings, explored different emotions through activities, and learned simple ways to check in on the people around them. Our team also enjoyed a special morning tea to celebrate these important connections.

The day was a meaningful reminder of the kindness, care, and friendships that are part of our Centre community every day.

šŸ’› Yesterday was filled with lovely messages for our educators at Greenwood Chatswood East.

Families took the time to write kind notes, and the children proudly signed thank you cards as we celebrated Early Childhood Educators' Day together. There were plenty of smiles as everyone came together to show their appreciation.

The children also loved taking photos with our special photo frame and helping make the day extra special for their educators.

āœØ Book Week was full of little adventures at Greenwood Gladesville.

With their favourite books tucked under their arms, our children spent the day exploring spaces that brought stories to life. Some hopped on bicycles and set off on new adventures, others stopped by the zoo to visit their favourite animals. There were paints to splash across paper, stories to listen to, and cosy corners to turn the pages of well-loved books with friends.

Every feeling matters.

Learning to recognise and express emotions is an important part of early childhood.

That's why many of our rooms use feelings check-in boards and books to give children a simple, age-appropriate way to share how they're feeling, even before they have the words.

These everyday moments help educators better understand each child while supporting emotional awareness, communication and wellbeing.

šŸ“š Favourite stories jumped off the page and into real life at Greenwood Chatswood East's Book Parade!

As the children walked through the outdoor area, there were big smiles, waves and lots of pointing as friends spotted each other's costumes. Excited little voices shared who they had come dressed as, and many children proudly brought along their favourite books to share with their friends.

It was a lovely day filled with stories, imagination and joyful moments as the children brought their favourite characters to life.
