Another bitter sweet day today at Molong Early Learning Centre, with it being Miss Dani’s last day with all of us.

We won’t lie, our hearts are definitely a little bit broken and our days at MELC won’t be the same without her.

Miss Dani is that person, one who is just a genuinely unreal human being, one of those people that are the definition of sunshine, and we are sure you’ll all agree.
She’s full of personality, passion and love, and we love every bit of her for it.

She is genuine to the core, loves every single child like they are her own, and treats everyone the same. Nothing is ever a hassle to her and she powers on through it all. She really is, just one of the best.

So, to our Miss Dani, it goes without saying that you’ll be missed dearly by every single one of us here at MELC, and yes, even your 100 alarms that go off every day.
You are vibrant, dedicated, kind, passionate, and a ball of fun, just to name a few.

We wish you all the love and luck in your new role at Cumnock Village Preschool.
You might be our loss, but you’re definitely their gain and we hope they know how lucky they are to have you.

An end of an era today at MELC for our very special, Miss Meg.

Miss Meg started her traineeship here with us 4 years ago, and from day dot she has been such a vital asset to our team.
Full of creativity, inspiring ideas, passion, determination, and love, Miss Meg has been a very important co-worker and of course, Educator to all of the little ones.

It takes a special kind of person to be in these roles, and that you are too all of us, Meg.
A very special person.

As much as we are sad to see Miss Meg leave us at MELC, we are also very happy and very excited for her and her role in a new industry of work.

Thank you Miss Meggy! You’ve been a superstar ⭐️
There will always be a home for you here with us at MELC.

In term one, the children in the Biladurang room each drew their own self portrait.

Miss Llara spent a huge amount of time helping each child with their term one portrait, when she sparked the idea of collaborating each child’s image together, along with the Biladurang rooms educators self portraits too, into a ‘Our Biladurang Family 2026’ large scale image.

Idea number two sparked and Miss Llara proceeded to go one step further and turn the incredible image into T-shirts and Tea towels.
Order forms went out, and came back in even hotter🔥 with 37 tees ordered and 50 tea towels. Unreal!

The children couldn’t be happier with their super cool tees, (what a fantastic keepsake for our little friends off to school next year) and it’s safe to say the educators are digging theirs too!

A big thanks for Geoff and the team at Elite Trophies and Merchandise for printing the tee’s and tea towels, and of course to Miss Llara for bringing this all to life.

Throughout their first two years, children’s artwork steadily evolves and provides the following developmental benefits for our littlest people -

• Builds muscles, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.
• Exercises bilateral coordination, using both sides of the body in different ways at the same time, and executive function skills, planning something and working towards it step by step.
• Offers varied sensory experiences depending on the tools and materials used.
• Boosts spatial awareness when drawing between lines or within the edges of paper.
• Encourages symbolic thinking, self-esteem, and creativity.

Our Wilay room children are so lucky to have educators who explore art with them in such a fun, exciting and sensory way 🎨🫟✨

We are excited to announce that we have received funding for a Health and Development grant program, which will fund allied health providers who will support educator and teacher capabilities.
This program will assist us working with professionals to provide a specialised education program that will support 4 year old children’s health and development on a cohort wide scale, as well as including an element of capability uplift for educators and teachers.

We are so excited to also announce that we now have a partnership with the wonderful Total Health Orange to provide this education and support within our preschool room.

Yesterday we had Kaitlynn join us for in our room, and as you can see, the children really enjoyed her time and company.
Kaitlynn will be joining us fortnightly, and we look forward to having her with us at Molong Early Learning Centre, while helping the children build the skills they need for a successful start to school, as well as supporting the educators and teachers too.
