The Students of M1 were very lucky to have a new teacher in their room for the day.
M1 welcomed Esther into their room and learned that she is from Kenya. Esther taught the M1 students about her home back in Kenya using the Leap Frog globe to show where Kenya is in the world and also share some facts about Kenya.
The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about the wilder-beasts and the different parts of the flag of Kenya.
🇰🇪 Black on the flag represents the people,
White represents peace, Green represents vegetation and Red represents the lives lost for independence.
To thank Esther for teaching them today and sharing her stories of Kenya the M1 students made her a flower in the colours of her flag and chocolates.

🏉We enjoyed a great last day of term, showing our team pride and enjoying a hotdog 🌭 lunch.
All students had the opportunity to decorate a football to take home. hopefully getting to enjoy some time over the break playing with it outside in the beautiful spring weather.

Due to our Footy Colours Day on Friday the canteen will NOT RUN as our Canteen crew will be busy preparing hotdogs.
All students will receive Hotdogs for lunch (free of charge).

* Also note Friday has an early dismissal time and students will need to be collected 20 minutes earlier than usual

Last Friday Baringa had several teams compete in the annual inter-school basketball tournament 🏀⛹️‍♂️
All of our teams played well and were commended for their excellent inclusive sportsmanship throughout the competition.
