We love our excursions to the Moama Sound Shell!

There is always so much learning that happens when we step outside the centre and into our local community. From practising road safety and following instructions, to ball games, Spanish lessons with Cami 🇨🇱, getting creative with chalk and all the wonderful conversations along the way!

These regular excursions provide our little learners with meaningful opportunities to explore, connect and learn beyond the classroom and we know they absolutely love it too!

FOOTY FEVER AT INSIGHT! 🏉

As part of our School Holiday Program, we enjoyed two fun filled days of footy fever here at Insight last week!

On Thursday, we came together for a whole centre BBQ, with Dave cooking up lunch for everyone to enjoy together in the preschool yard. There were bubbles, footy songs, face painting and plenty of team colours on show

On Friday, Dave was back in the kitchen cooking up a storm with his famous homemade meat pies and sausage rolls! 🥧

Such a fun couple of days celebrating footy finals fever together!

🇨🇱 A little Spanish lesson at the Soundshell

Today’s preschool excursion to the Moama Soundshell turned into a beautiful spontaneous learning experience!

Our ECT Cami, who is from Chile, began drawing some little ducks with the children, counting them first in English and then in Spanish. Some of the children were even able to recall the Spanish numbers Cami had shared with them through previous conversations!

One child then asked, “How do we say hello?” 👋
Cami replied, “Hola!” 🇨🇱

Such a simple moment turned into a meaningful opportunity for language, connection and cultural learning. We love seeing our educators share parts of their own culture and identity with the children, and Cami looks forward to continuing to share her beautiful Chilean culture with us!

Last Wednesday our Ngarring little learners headed out for a beautiful walk around Horseshoe Lagoon! Everyone was excited to put on their vests, get strapped into the big prams and head off on their adventure☀️

Along the way, we saw and heard lots of local wildlife, including ducks and birds, but the highlight was a little wallaby we were lucky enough to spot! 🦘

The children were so attentive as they watched the wallaby hop away before stopping to hide amongst the bush and look around. As we continued on our walk, everyone waved and called out, “Bye wallaby!”

How lucky are we to live and learn in such a beautiful place!

🥖 From little ideas, something delicious was created!

After a group discussion about cooking, the children decided they would love to make their own bread rolls!

Together they explored the ingredients and enjoyed measuring, mixing, kneading and shaping their very own bread rolls. A beautiful child led experience filled with curiosity, teamwork and lots of hands on learning

Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our Teddy Bears Picnic Open Day yesterday

It was wonderful to see many of our existing families, as well as welcome some new faces to explore our beautiful centre

From teddy bears and picnic fun to our Mini Olympics, it was a great opportunity to showcase our Insight Balance Program and enjoy lots of movement and sporting fun! 🏅

💛 Kindness starts with a conversation.

Yesterday, our Kindy children at Insight Early Learning Joondalup took R U OK?Day into their community. They handed out freshly baked lemon-drop cookies and asked members of the public one meaningful question: “Are you OK?” 🍋🍪

Through this experience, the children explored empathy, confidence and the importance of checking in with others.

We’re continuing the conversation at tomorrow’s FREE Teddy Bears’ Picnic! Families can enjoy R U OK? activities created to promote kindness and wellbeing, plus collect helpful resources and special gifts. 🧸🧺

Not all superheroes wear capes 💫

This Superhero Week, our Support Team took a moment to recognise some of the incredible people across Insight Early Learning who inspire us through the care, connection and commitment they bring every day.

These are just a handful of shoutouts, because the truth is, our superheroes are everywhere. In our rooms, across our services and behind the scenes, making a difference for our children, families and each other.

📚 Book Week at Insight Early Learning ✨

This week, we celebrated the joy of getting lost in a story, discovering new worlds, and letting little imaginations run wild. 🦄 Swipe through to see how our centres brought Book Week to life with our families this year.

Our children at Burwood went on a library adventure and had a wonderful time exploring the magic of learning beyond the classroom. 📖 Meanwhile, special guest readers (ie. our wonderful parents 🤭) brought books to life in our Chadstone classrooms. The children also went on an excursion at Readings Chadstone for storytime.

Our Kindy friends over at Dunsborough were so excited for dive into their favourite stories! 📚 Our Joondalup children and educators had the best time dressing up amid all of their Book Week activities. Truly, learning should be fun, meaningful and full of wonderful memories! 🌟

Speaking of fun, there were plenty of life and colour over at our Kelmscott centre. 🦋 Shout out to our amazing families for getting involved in creating such a memorable week for our children! Port Coogee’s Book Week Parade also turned out absolutely amazing, and it was beautiful to see all the different costumes from our children, parents and educators alike. ✨

Finally, our Stream Ave team had a fantastic time having themed days for Book Week. 🌼 From The Things, to Bluey and Bingo, to Despicable Me, our centre was filled with creativity, imagine and lots of smiles! 🩵
