A huge thank you to our wonderful families who joined us for today’s Working Bee! With many hands hard at work, our working bee team undertook a pressure wash of sandstone pavers, mulching, and rejuvenating our gardens and outdoor spaces. The school is looking refreshed and ready for our upcoming Community Fair. The spirit of community, care and service was certainly alive at Our Lady of Dolours today, and we are so grateful for the time, energy and generosity shared by everyone who came along. A special thank you to the Bresnehan family for championing this event and helping bring our community together in such a practical and positive way.

📚💻 Year 2 Digital Technologies in Action! 🚗✨

This week in Digital Technologies, our Year 2 students embraced the role of young programmers as they created, tested and refined their code to guide their cars along a road, around corners and safely into a parking space. Through problem-solving, persistence and plenty of trial and error, students engaged in an exciting iterative design process and made a fantastic start on this challenging task.

It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, creativity and determination as they worked together to improve their code and achieve success.

A special thank you to Mrs Clarke for delivering such inspirational and engaging lessons that spark curiosity, build confidence and make learning so much fun. We loved every minute of it! 🌟👏

✨ Creativity came to life in Year 4 today! ✨

Our Year 4 students enjoyed a fantastic Toon World incursion, where they explored the fun and imaginative world of stop motion!

Students created their favourite characters, with original designs, and brought their imaginative stories to life. It was wonderful to see their creativity, problem-solving and storytelling skills on display throughout this exciting hands-on learning experience.

A very big thank you to Ms Draheim for organising such an engaging and memorable incursion for our students! 🎬👏
