We had a fabulous time at the Trivia Night on May 16. Thanks to everyone who came and put the fun in fundraising! It was delightful seeing all the groups of youth, friends, and church families in one place!

We're so thankful to the hundreds of volunteers across Canberra who use their gifts to help young people discover life in God's big story while they're at school.

With all the growth we've been having, we're recruiting additional coordinators!

1) a coordinator for the primary school programs in South Canberra 22.8hrs/~3 days a week
2) a secondary school coordinator - 15.2 hours a week (2-3 days)

As we near the end of the year, we give thanks to God and to you for enabling over 2,000 students in 51 primary and secondary Government schools across Canberra to hear of the wonder of the birth of Jesus, the message of Easter, and how much God loves them.

Due to increased demand for our programs - leading to additional staffing and resources - the cost of delivering the CEIS programs has exceeded our 2025 annual income by over $30,000. We are currently accessing our financial reserves to sustain the ministry, a situation that is untenable in the longer term.

Our 2025 CEIS Christmas Appeal aims to raise $35,000 before the New Year and to build our donor base for 2026. Your generosity will ensure children continue to hear that Jesus loves them - no matter what they think of Him - and will allow more young people to hear of Jesus’s love as the ministry continues to expand into new schools next year.

On Saturday, we held our first ever Thank You Event for our wonderful volunteers! We wanted to bless them with our gratitude and recognition for the hours of work and commitment they give to CEIS - and to hundreds of children around Canberra.

We had great fun handing out some very special awards, too.
