šŸ’› What an incredible show of community spirit šŸ’›

A huge thank you to the team at Kieser and everyone who attended their recent 7th Birthday Celebration and Fundraiser. Together, they raised an amazing $3,423 in support of KIDS Foundation.

As they prepare to take on this year’s Noosa Tri, this fantastic contribution has given their fundraising tally a significant boost and will help KIDS Foundation continue supporting children, young people and families impacted by trauma, injury and disabling health conditions.

A special thank you to our incredible Ambassador, Matt Thiele, whose powerful and heartfelt story left a lasting impression on guests and reminded everyone why community support matters so much.

Una shared that many attendees were deeply moved by Matt’s presentation and the impact of his message.

We’re so grateful to be part of this journey and can’t wait to cheer the team on as they train, fundraise and take on Noosa.

Thank you for turning a celebration into an opportunity to change lives šŸ’›

Day 2 - Camp Phoenix 🌓

Our most jam-packed day of camp started with movement activities before splitting off to do sand tobogganing or fish feeding, then a scavenger hunt around the island.

We had a themed dinner to round off the night but stay tuned for a recap soon šŸ˜‰

Musician and now KIDS Ambassador James Johnston joined us on this year’s Tour d’Horse 🐓

Ever since, the volunteers and participants have been obsessed with his songs and line-dancing along to them.

So thanks James for the shoutout and wishing you the best for your UK shows!

Hope to see you at another camp soon.

🧔🐓 It’s often the moments you don’t plan that become the most memorable…

As we reflect on our recent Day Camp at Makybe Stud, we’re still smiling about the special connection between Maggie and Wishbone, Helen’s beautiful retired racehorse.

With the guidance of Sean Henry, the ā€˜Horse Whisperer’, Maggie was gently shown how to connect with Wishbone in a calm and respectful way. Watching her confidence grow and seeing the trust develop between them was such a beautiful reminder of the impact horses can have on the lives of children and young people.

What made the day even more special was that it took place on 1st August, recognising our gorgeous equine buddies on their official birthday. So, it only seemed fitting that we gathered around and sang Happy Birthday to Wishbone, who happily became the centre of attention for the celebration. šŸ“šŸŽ‚

A heartfelt thank you to Tony Santic and Helen for once again welcoming our KIDS Foundation families to their home and sharing their love of horses with our community. Their generosity continues to create opportunities for connection, confidence and joy.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Sean for sharing his knowledge and helping create such a special experience for Maggie, and to our valued sponsors Petstock and RB Sellars.

Finally, thank you to our incredible Tour d’Horse supporters who help bring these programs to life. Your support allows us to create meaningful experiences that build confidence, foster connection and provide moments of genuine joy for children and families impacted by trauma, serious injury and disabling health conditions. We are proudly delivering projects for the Peer Support and Capacity Building (PSCB) grant for the NDIS.

When life gives you lemons, what do you do? Paint them, of course! ā˜€ļø

So proud to finally share this beautiful feature in Hoofbeats — with Nellie Tuddenham riding for Bella on the front cover plus a four-page feature inside from p10.

This story captures the heart of Tour d’Horse and the journey that began because of one very special little girl… Bella šŸ¤

It honours Bella, the cherished granddaughter of KIDS Foundation Founder Dr Susie O’Neill and beloved sister to Nellie, who sadly passed away from SMA. Bella’s legacy is the reason horses became such an important part of the KIDS Foundation and continues to inspire everything Tour d’Horse stands for.

It also reflects Susie’s vision of bringing horses into the KIDS Foundation because of Bella, plus Nellie’s incredible love of horses and why she rides in Bella’s honour.

A truly special story. If you have a chance, we’d love you to have a read. 🐓🧔

Thank you & Tracy Weaver-Sayer for your incredible support. šŸ™

ā˜€ļø Meet Kay - from participant to volunteer who has been with the KIDS Foundation for over 20 years! šŸŽˆ

Kay first came across KIDS when she was watching TV in the 2000s and there was a program showcasing Camp Phoenix.

Kay signed up to attend the next camp as a burns survivor and now inspires others with her beautiful, kind-hearted nature 🧔

She has taken her family to experience the transformations that happen on our camps. She distinctly remembers when her son said, ā€˜Mum, you need to keep doing this.’

Camp Phoenix is coming up again soon in August, so to find out more about it as well as our volunteering opportunities, head to kidsfoundation.org.au

A little snippet of what we got up to on Tour d'Horse this year with country superstar James Johnston! So much boot-scootin' goodness šŸ‘¢āœØ

Day 2 of camping with Tour d’Horse - We wrote an ORIGINAL SONG! šŸŽ¶

The incredibly talented led our participants in a songwriting session, spinning our words and ideas onto the next chart topping, country hit, ā€˜KIDS’ 🤭

Within a few short hours, we got to hear the brand new song performed in front of the campfire, with our KIDS family, Tour d’Horse riders and special guests.

Last night we announced James would be joining us as an ambassador for the Foundation. We’re so excited to see him again 🧔
