Year 7&8 students saw a production of verbal combat today. A program designed to help them navigate friendships, bullying and mental health in an ever-changing world, both online and in real life.

The Year 11 VM students and Mrs O’Connor had a unique opportunity to feel the force of these high pressure water hoses during their Certificate 2 Public Safety course run by Magenta Safety Training. Thanks to Bailey for his clear guidance and instruction.

The year 10 Masterclass students have been exploring current food trends. Today they brought their research to life, each making a current food trend of their choosing - from paninis, Mac and cheese, freakshakes to sweets the class hit a wide range of trends!

Another fantastic week out for our Year 9 ‘It’s My City’ program! Groups took on a great mix of experiences across Melbourne — from the Old Melbourne Gaol and a courtroom drama at the Old Magistrates’ Court, to the MCG and NGV International, Queen Victoria Market with a street art tour, a wellbeing session at the Royal Botanic Gardens, and a visit to the Magistrates’ Court with a Parliament House tour. Another great showing from our students all round!

Things progressing well on the Stage 2 STEM Centre!!

Some fun in the kitchen this week! We have been getting creative in food tech kitchen this week - the year 7s completed their first ever design brief, the 8/9s travelled to the Netherlands, making Dutch orange syrup cake and the year 10 students made their very own pretzels with a range of different topics!

Thanks to Amelia, Perri and Michelle for running our first Battle of the Houses trivia competition today at lunchtime. All students are welcome to join us next Tuesday for pop culture trivia. Congratulations to O’Neill for winning today’s round

Our VCE Art students enjoyed a great day visiting the NGV and other galleries on Friday ! They viewed the Future Country exhibition and learnt about the conservation methods and exhibition methods employed by the gallery which will be integral to their upcoming Outcomes .
