As the retired senior curator from the Melbourne Museum, he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm of minibeasts with our little learners. 🐞🪰

The Kids' Bookshop is such a wonderful local business that helps children develop a love of literature. They will always help you find the right book for your young reader. 📚

Big thanks to Rangeview Pre-School for asking me to speak online to parents tonight. I talked about developing and maintaining a reading culture at home, supporting learning to read at school and, of course, there were lots of book recommendations. It can be so hard to find time during the evening, among dinner and bedtime routines, so I really appreciate the parents who logged on.

Today, we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day with the theme of 'Living our Truth'.

Our teaching proudly incorporates Indigenous perspectives, so that we enhance our connections to our local area, celebrate the diverse cultures of our families and strengthen our community bonds.

These week (and next) at Bush Kinder, our learners will be given the opportunity to learns some local Woiwurrung terms, explore some artefacts and play some Indigenous games. This will be led by a special member of our community... to be revealed soon!

📣We are pleased to announce our session hours for 2027!

✅What's new? Our 3 year old groups will become 15 hours per week, with two timetable options to support the varying needs of children and families.

For 64 years, our community-run pre-school has been shaped by the extraordinary generosity of our families. It is truly breathtaking to think about the many generations that have built the community we share today.

This National Volunteer Week, we pay tribute everyone who gives their time—whether it be guiding us on the management committee, rolling up your sleeves at working bees, or otherwise bringing magic to our children’s daily learning.

Our little pre-school is a special, happy place because of your devotion, and we are profoundly grateful for everything you do.
