As we approach the second half of June, Mandarin Bee’s Term 2 is coming to an end. It’s been a fulfilling and Mandarin-filled 8 weeks/sessions of Mandarin fun for our EARLY Mandarin (age 0-5) and Mandarin EXPLORER (age 6-12) children as they learnt with joy.
From songs on family to crafting paper bouquets to wish their mothers a “ 母亲节快乐!” (Mǔqīn jié kuàilè - Happy Mother’s Day), our children exemplify the Mandarin Bee approach: Learn it. Use it.
Meanwhile, our 6-12 year old Mandarin EXPLORERs have been having a blast! From tackling tricky tongue-twisters to re-enacting a busy café scene– taking orders and serving food and drinks to their parents– all in Mandarin. Learn it. Use it.
If you’d like your child to start their Mandarin journey with Mandarin Bee, Term 3 starts July 13. We look forward to seeing your child in Mitcham VIC 3132 or Templestowe VIC 3106!

At Mandarin Bee, we believe that young children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. That's why our EARLY Mandarin (age 0-5) program emphasises intentional play-based learning that encourages collaboration between children and teachers in a supportive and engaging environment. By making Mandarin sessions joyful and interactive, we nurture curiosity, confidence and a lifelong enthusiasm for learning, and using the language!
As Term 2 nears to a close, we would like to invite you to register your child for a TRIAL in this term’s remaining classes. This way, your child starts anew in Term 3 : Jul 13 to Sep 12 '26 (9 weeks/sessions). Register for a TRIAL Now!

May’s blog post introduced ways to add Mandarin to mealtimes. Here, we share some simple Mandarin vocabulary for tableware and utensils that you can incorporate to your child’s daily life!
Slowly introduce the words by adding the Mandarin words to your sentences, such as “Can you pass me your 盘子 (pánzǐ) — plate?” and gradually transition to full Mandarin sentences once your child gets more familiar with the terms. Soon they’ll be able to understand when you ask, “你能把你的盘子递给我吗?(nǐ néng bǎ nǐ de pánzǐ dì gěi wǒ ma?) — Can you pass me your plate?” with ease. Practice makes perfect!
Check out our monthly blog posts for more ways to incorporate Mandarin into your child’s daily life. If you’d like to register them for a TRIAL Class, register on our website, link in the bio!

(Wǒmen qù yéyé jiā ba!) — Let’s go to Grandpa’s house!’ or ‘“请把面包递给姐姐.”
Qǐng bǎ miànbāo dì gěi jiějiě. — Please pass the bread to your sister.’

It’s easy to make Mandarin Moments this May with an important part of the day: mealtime! 🍽️
Inviting your child to help in food preparation with a simple “我们一起做饭吧!” (Wǒmen yīqǐ zuòfàn ba! — Let's cook together!) is the perfect opportunity to slowly introduce more Mandarin to them this month.
