. This is why we developed our classes to prioritise a play-based approach that makes classes enjoyable via activities and games -

To build creativity, imagination, and foster a love for learning in little ones from a young age. The ages of 0-6 are also the best time for a child to build strong foundations in their cognitive skills. To help little ones develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, we’ve included age-appropriate Early Numeracy Concepts into our classes to significantly contribute to their whole brain development. Our Philosophy is simple:

Registration for our September 2026 Holiday Workshop is Open!

The "MANDARIN + BRAIN" workshop combines Mandarin learning with exercising the brain through play, games and challenges.

We have different 3-hour Workshops available for children age 4-12. NO Mandarin experience is needed to join!

Just come with open minds and willing attitudes to play and learn!

Our 4-5 year olds…
Little Brain Adventure is where they will participate in fun games, brain challenges and Mandarin play alongside their friends.

Our 6-12 year olds…
Wkshp A : Mandarin Brain PLAY! Play | Move | Think | Speak
Wkshp B : Mandarin Brain CHALLENGE! Play | Solve | Challenge | Speak
Children have the option to join either one, or go-all-in and have a full-day MANDARIN + BRAIN experience.

Check out what our young learners have been up to this Term 3! Our DEVELOPING Mandarin EXPLORER (Level 3) students were hard at work with this week’s activity: to make caterpillars out of craft materials and win with their fastest insect! 🐛

Their Mandarin practice was to fill in the blanks of the instructions given to them with Mandarin vocabulary provided, and decide the colour of their caterpillar. This activity ties in with the passage they have been reading,《小鸟与大树》(Xiǎo niǎo yǔ dà shù, The Little Bird and the Big Tree). They had great fun reviewing their learning through a picture comprehension exercise of insects, ponds and gardens.

Our Level 2 and 3 programs, EMERGING and DEVELOPING, build upon your child’s foundational Mandarin through the LEARN and APPLY method.

EMERGING (Level 2) focuses on revising pinyin, enhancing their reading skills, cultivating their conversational skills, and more.

DEVELOPING (Level 3) boosts your child’s reading fluency and develops their language independence, deepening their understanding with Mandarin.

Slots for our higher Mandarin EXPLORER classes are available at both Mandarin Bee Mitcham and Templestowe branches, with the start of Term 4: Oct 5 to Nov 28 (8 weeks/sessions).

🐻 What do you see? Bright minds, happy faces, and lots of Mandarin! 🎨✨

Week 4 of Term 3 is officially in the books, and our little learners have had a blast with the classic storybook 《棕色的熊，棕色的熊，你在看什么？》 (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?)!

Here’s a peek at what our classrooms were up to this week:

👶 Toddlers (18m–3y):
Exploring colors, counting and friendly animal friends through song and storytime!

🐥 Kindy (3–4y):
Building key phrases like 棕色的熊 (brown bear) and 红色的小鸟 (red bird), while learning the pronoun 它 (it) and answering “What do you see?”

🎒 Kindy (4–5y):
Mastering full Q&A conversations—confidently responding with 我看见... (I can see...) to describe colorful animals all on their own!

Look out for these awesome activity sheets in your child’s bag.

Ask them in Mandarin at home tonight:
你在看什么？ (Nǐ zài kàn shénme?)

You might be surprised by how much they can tell you! 💬❤️

Narrate every day of the week with your child using this handy guide to the days of the week in Mandarin! 🗓️

Using words your child has learned previously in our quick Instagram/Facebook vocabulary guides or blog posts, found on our website, it’s a good opportunity to refresh the simple vocabulary and pair it with their natural curiosity. If your child asks, “我们这周做什么？(Wǒmen zhè zhōu zuò shénme? — What are we doing this week?)”, you can say, “我们星期五要去图书馆。(Wǒmen xīngqī wǔ yào qù túshūguǎn. — We are going to the library on Friday.)”, and see the excitement on their faces grow.
