This morning Ruby went over to book corner, set herself up a ‘mat’, and asked who wanted to calm down with her. She then proceeded to lead her friends in a mindfulness and meditation session. (Followed by a karate class. Of course) 🧘♂️ Great job Ruby!

“I am often asked by parents how to discuss events like Anzac Day and Remembrance day with children in the early years. I am a firm believer in giving children accurate, developmentally appropriate information on any topic they may have questions about. As adults, we are often the keepers of information and providing developmentally appropriate information encourages children to understand, participate and question things in a way that is within their understanding and interest”

Fun fact - Marilyn and Steve took over Tom Thumb Milburn Road in 1987, the same year they welcomed Lincoln’s mummy into their own family

Welcome to our Kangaroos Chinese restaurant! To extend on the childrens interest in Chinese Lunar New Year, our 3-5’s room have created and decorated their very own Chinese restaurant. This addition to our room will provide us lots of opportunity to explore Chinese culture, as well as extend upon our turn taking, role playing, and literacy skills. 🐉
