We’re back! 🎉📚

We hope all of our Minden families had a wonderful, safe and relaxing break. We’re excited to welcome everyone back to school TODAY for the start of Term 4!

It’s a fresh term with new learning, new goals, exciting opportunities and plenty to look forward to. 🌟

👕 Uniforms on
😊 Smiles ready!

We can’t wait to see our students back through the gates this morning and hear all about their holiday adventures.

💙💛 GETTING READY FOR TERM 4! 💛💙

The holidays are a great time to relax and recharge, but as we get closer to school returning, a few little changes can make that first week back much easier! 🌟

In the days leading up to Term 4, try gradually getting back into school routines:

🛏️ Start bringing back earlier bedtimes
🥗 Get back into regular meals and plenty of water
🧹 Tidy bedrooms and create a fresh, organised space
👕 Check uniforms are clean, fit and ready to go
🎒 Find those school bags, lunchboxes and water bottles
⏰ Start practising the morning routine again
💙 Most importantly, talk positively about the exciting term ahead!

A little preparation now can make for a calmer, happier start to Term 4 for everyone.

📚 School resumes Tuesday 6 October.

✈️ YEAR 1/2L PAPER PLANE EXPERIMENT! ✈️

What a fantastic way for our Year 1/2L students to finish off Term 3! 🎉

Last week, the students put their science skills to the test with a paper plane flying experiment! They started with practice flights, making adjustments and seeing what worked best before putting their planes to the ultimate test. ✈️💨

Then came the FINAL FLIGHT! 🚀 Each student made their final throw and carefully measured how far their plane travelled. 📏

There were some seriously impressive flights, and every single student gave it their best! 👏🏼❤️

It was wonderful to see them experiment, problem-solve, measure and celebrate their results while having so much fun along the way.

A huge well done to all of our students for their hard work this term, and thank you to our wonderful families and staff for your continued support.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe, happy and well-deserved break. Take some time to rest, recharge, have fun and make some wonderful memories! ☀️💙

STEP INTO PREP – 2027

Is your little one starting Prep at Minden State School in 2027? 🌟

We’re excited to welcome our future Prep students to our Step Into Prep transition sessions during Term 4!

These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for children to become familiar with our school, meet staff, explore the Prep environment and start building confidence before their big first day next year.

We will be holding four transition sessions throughout Term 4:

📅 Monday 2 November – 2:00pm–3:00pm
📅 Monday 9 November – 2:00pm–3:00pm
📅 Friday 20 November – 9:00am–10:00am
📅 Friday 27 November – 9:00am–10:00am

Please bring a hat, water bottle and snack for your child.
👨‍👩‍👧 A parent/carer must remain for the entire session.

Prep Interviews

Prep interviews will also be held during Term 4 for enrolled 2027 Prep students. Families who have enrolled will receive an email with a link to book an interview session.

We can’t wait to meet our newest Minden families and help our little learners take their first steps into school life! 🌱

💛 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR DANCE TROUPE! 💛

On Friday, our Minden State School Dance Troupe competed at the Lockyer District Dancing Festival and came away with an amazing 3rd Place! 🏆✨

We are incredibly proud of our dancers! Their hard work, confidence and teamwork shone on stage, and they represented Minden State School beautifully.

A HUUUUGE thank you to the wonderful Miss Allanis, owner of Ignite Dance Company, who comes into our school each week to teach and support our Dance Troupe. We are so incredibly lucky to have you and truly appreciate everything you do for our students! 🥰

If your child loves Dance Troupe and would like to dance more, Ignite Dance Company offers classes at their studio located at The Red Elephant. 💃✨

Congratulations to our dancers and Miss Allanis, what a fantastic achievement for our little school! 🏆
